Ah! I see Prince of Persia, my first serious PC game back in 1992. I did hold our office record of 32 minutes to complete it. Don't blink, those days nobody had home PCs, we had to play PC games at work at after work hours.

Then try beating my 13 year old record of 32 minutes.

However Prince of Persia 2 was way too difficult, it took me nearly 50 sessions to complete. I have completed it only once, it was too tiring, never tried it again. I almost developed RSS on my fingers.

Another old favourite was One Must Fall 2097 released in 1994.

Re: Any one remember the game called car?

Hi,

I wonder if you guys remember a game called ? car. It was DOS based and you had to key in car.exe to start the game. I used to love it a lot - but I can't find it anywhere right now.

I used to play it off the floppy!

That game was TD or the very first avatar of Test Drive.
You had to key in TDCGA.EXE or TDEGA.EXE depending on the graphics adapter you had - it was developed by Accolade.

They went on to develope TD2 - The Duel, which had split screen racing! And finally they released TD3 - which was one of the first genuine 3d racers - along with Vette.

Those days, there were no lags, no upgrade issues

For the record - my favourite game was Stunts - It was developed by Broderbound - the same guys who did the prince of persia series

I am yet to find a game as satisfying as Stunts.

Mention of TD(Test Drive) brought back old memories.
Remember if you were too slow, you were chucked out of the game with a message
"You are too slow to drive a supercar".
If you broke the speed limit the cop car got after you, but the top speed of that car was 120mph and if you stayed above 120mph you could survive a ticket!
