Was wondering what the hell people do while waiting eternally for the signal to change.....?

My hand automatically goes for my cell.
Sometimes I look at how impatient people are getting and try to rank them, on that basis
Sometimes I get lucky to look at a 'beautiful' distraction
I hate the horns
I do not belong to 'cross the signal asap' group

Get time to pay attention to audio being played,
watch IRVM,
talk to any one traveling with me, mostly about H'bad crappy traffic sense,
check if the engine noise feels ok in idle mode and rpm,
change CD is required, if sufficient time is left on count down timer,
change radio channels if the Radio mirchi is boring me to death,
find out if any new car models are around

and of course if I get lucky....

I do select a nice song on my CD player and decibel up the volume.

I haven't stopped at a signal in many months...

...before anyone assumes the worst, there aren't any signals close to where I live.

Most of the auto rickshaws, motor cyclists and bicyclists try to find their to the front by any means while waiting for the signal. Since my car is brand new, I keep watching which moron is out to scratch my car.

change the song ,then change the cd ,then again change the cd...........
check the cell ,send a couple of msgs
curse the traffic ,curse the car in front of mine ,curse the gov.
check the cars around
if someone is sitting besides me then have a chat (again curse the traffic,jointly)
try to keep an eye on the motorcyclists trying to squeeze in between, already have too many scratches.!

signals? what are signals .

There comes a day when all singals go green whenver you come to it.

When it becomes red. either im watching some distraction . watching out for any wied looking mods and stickers.... or either waiting to race with a volvo bus

first: wonder if its going to take a while to go green again.
after that: switch the car off and smile.
alternative: jump the light if there are no vehicles coming on (if its safe enough) and no cops in sight!!

My eyes wander( doctors-recommended eye exercise to reduce strain) to all the sweetest things around, also called PYTs. Feel so moved at their delicate faces directly exposed to pollution on their Scooties/Activas that my hands start moving to open my car door and big-heartedly invite them for a lift, then remember that my colleagues also travel with me most times occupying the nice leather seats.

If in a hurry:
1. Take foot off clutch & out of gear.
2. Depress clutch & put back in gear.
3. Repeat steps 1 & 2.
4. Fiddle with stereo.
5. Stare at cellphone.
6. Make a useless / business call (on Bluetooth headset, before you start yelping).
7. Glare at other drivers.
8. Check out chix if any.

If NOT in a hurry:
1. Take foot off clutch & out of gear.
2. Stare at stereo system, maybe fiddle with it.
3. Dig my nose. Dig deep. Dig. Dig. Dig.
4. Examine deposits of now dug nose on finger.
5. Look around to see if anyone saw me do 3 & 4.
6. Look around to see if I can find a motorcyclist.
7. Flick deposit on found motorcyclist (or cabbie, if not found) when signal changes to green.
8. Sometimes substitute nose with ear wax if have had too many signals & nose now stands empty.

In either case, abuse a helluva lot.

1. rev up and make other people curse me for my ride's loud exhaust note.
2. constantly look in the IRVM to see how close the car behind me is standing (i do this whenever i step on the brake at a stop signal)
3. check out if any chix around (even if my girl is beside me)

If on bike... I pen helmet visor... And look around... And get ready to blast the hell out of there when the light comes on...

If in my car, am very much relaxed... I adjust the song i wanna hear... set the ac to my liking.. and relax... till the guy from behind honks...

I think my ICE makes up for all the boredom especially our snail paced frustrating roads, windows up, A/C on, bass bumpin.

1. Turn the car off if have to stay on lights for 120 secs
2. Fiddle with stereo / mobile
3. Check here and there and stare at people and see thullas and their habbits..
4. Analyze the amount of traffic here and there even behind me.
5. Check the person on right and left if any one is in a hurry and in a mood to race then i just let them go and if they are not in a hurry i took off the lights 1st
