MTNL TriBand Mumbai & Delhi FREE UPGRADE TO 2 Mbps !!!!

Hey guys..as per todays Times of India,MTNL have given an Ad that they are going to Upgrade all plans of TriBand to 2Mbps from 1st Jan 2007 !!!..
So,it's a nice new years gift !!..!!
But hey..there's a catch..the upgrade will be done free of cost for all plans EXCEPT THE NIGHT UNLIMITED PLAN..
Luckily,I have the 512kbps 1GB Limited Plan,so,mine will be upgraded to 2Mbps !..!!
So,well,Indian Broadband speed revolution will see drastic improvement in speeds across all carriers by this move from MTNL..
P.S. Even BSNL have announced higher speeds as well as increased data transfer limits of their plans..

Enjoy guys !

Yeah BSNL are also giving more 2mbps and have doubled the download limit of all the plans.. but BSNL 900 UL plans will remain 256 as they have not confirmed speed increase in that plan..

That is the theoretical maximum connection speed within your local network. That is what your NIC (Network Interface Card) is capable of.

This is not your DSL connection speed.

whats the use of so much speed, when there is a download limit attached and you cant also watch too much online video streaming and online gaming, because that will also consume the limited download/upload limit very quickly.

Well, uploads are totally free on MTNL triband across all plans..there are only download limits..
but yes,MTNL should also double up the transfer limits keeping the same tariffs ..like BSNL is doing..

Damn, i have the nightplan 599NU....so i am gonna be stuck with the 256kbp! Thats a little too unfair that everyone else gets 2gb and we get a fraction of it...the nightplan should atleast get some upgrade.

lol....see my downloads....

The past 2-3 months, I have hardly downloaded anything.... ran out of hard disk space.

After clearing some space, now redownloading

and honestly..... 2mbps and download limit is ridiculous. They should at least give night download free or something.....

It is like a Ferrari electronically restricted to 20kmph.

More like somebody giving you a full blooded Ferrari & a 500 meter stretch of road to drive it in. :-)

Hey..MTNL is upgrading all their TriBand plans to 2Mbps from 1st Jan EXCEPT for not only DSL NU ,but also the TriB T10 plan.
No idea whether they'll be giving double the data download limit too like BSNL..
I agree..MTNL should atleast upgrade even the NU plan to atleast 512kbps if not 1 or 2 Mbps..and I'm guessing they will in the very near future..
