Perfromance upgrades :
- aluminum steering block
- aluminum caster block
- aluminum stub axle carriers
- anaconda concrete tyres
- spacers...to increase / decrease ride height
- aluminum rear lower arm ( my car – the blue one )

weve clocked 80 km/h on one of the cars...while following it in kevins C Class...

in one of the pics you can see what a beating the car took....check out the bent screw on the original plastic caster block...it had to be replaced with the aluminium one...which is also visible in the pic....

weve got performance gearing also...will install that soon...

for more details on the rustler vxl check out TRAXXAS Rustler VXL - Details

till then...enjoy the pics!

hey motorheadinc....i havent seen the traxxas brand available anywhere in india...we ordered all the stuff online....there are plenty of websites that will ship it to india...it takes about 2-4 weeks...but the shipping cost is quite a bomb...the car with all kinds of spares, extra tyres, battery, battery charger, shipping etc would be approx 850$

R.P.M: I havent got lipo packs as yet...using a venom 5000 mah 8.4 V pack...lipo will come soon...coz i need to change the pinion gear once i have lipo

Thanks for the info CLS_55_AMG.

I presently have a F430 spider but was looking for more powerful models (nitro preferred)
I am aware that they will incur running costs too.
I will keep my hunt on and update here if i make any progress.

motorheadinc....the rustler vxl is faster than most ready to run nitro models...with a 11.1 volt lipo battery its capable of a whopping 75mph....to prepare a nitro model you thats as quick would require at least twice the investment....and yes theres a lot more maintenance required in a nitro model..

Hmmm
Thats interesting.
The speed is scale speed or actual speed because 75mph translates to 120 kmph.
The vehicle would leave an enfield behind on the road :P

Maybe i dint mention this earlier but i enjoy not only running the vehicle but also assembling and modding it.

I know many people wont do this but the first thing i did after the first run of my ferrari f430 spider was to open it up to pieces and assemble it back again.

I was too much fascinated by the differential in the rear wheel that i was not able to hold back and did a quick dissemble assemble on the car.

P.S. I am not insane. It's just my way of doing things....

yeah same here..i love opening it up and stuff as well...thats why weve replaced so many of the original parts with performance parts...and trust me....even I wasnt aware...but electric cars have plenty of modding as well...like changing the clutch, gears, suspension etc...

Thats great.
Hope i too can do some of the mods on my ferrari.
By the way i am still not convinced about the speed part please clarify whether it is scale speed or actual speed.

Nitro car and Electric car speeds are actual speeds unlike the earlier rc cars/boats etc which had scale speeds. if you see a battery operated car saying advertised speed of 238kmph it is scale speed
Visited Model Art in Bangalore was not impressed with the cars. Also the sales guy did not know much and asked me to come after a week or two as the manager would be around then. They deal with a Taiwan based company for there Nitro and Electric cars.

This site is pretty Informative:

Nitro (Gas) R.C. Car Racing in Mumbai

If anyone does know about Nitro RC Cars, I need help with it. I'm planning to get one myself and I'm confused as what to get, I have short listed:

1. Traxxas T-Maxx 3.3
2. Traxxas Revo 3.3 or
3. Trinity Spyder....

All these are Monster trucks and can be taken off-road. I'm providing links to all these below. Lemme know which one you think is better.
Thanks in advance....

Hi 911er,

At this point i only have one basic question / suggestion -

WHY NITRO ?? Why not electric?

These days the electric cars are beasts, and more importantly they are so much easier to mantain / run (as compared to my breif experience with nitro).

Also, the nitro will be a bit loud and will attract a crowd - especially in india. (Dont know if you would consider that a good thing or a bad thing)

R

PS - actually, electrics can be pretty loud too.
