Who are you in the traffic

Let me explain the options with this example on the road at a junction
1. Conformist - stops at red light even when the traffic police is not present.
2. Maverick - stops only when the traffic police is present.
3. Desporado - doesnt stop even when the traffic police is present and also after jumping the signal turns to the traffic police and smiles back like this .

---

well i am a conformist. stops at the signal in the 'correct lane' even if the traffic police is not around.

Another Conformist is a member of this club. Always fume at the 2nd and 3rd types - and contemplate that these are also the same people who go abroad and marvel at how disciplined traffic there is. Self-discipline always starts at home.

We had a cricket match. It was 7 in the morn and I stopped at a signal which was surprisingly working at that hour. My friends went ahead surprised but I waited till the signal was green.

Always follow the rules, others will one day follow you.

for some reason india is the only place where traffic signals are off at night.

generally they are on 24X7 and are adhered too.

Hey Vid-69er,

Now that you're back to Bendakaalooru, maybe you can take a class to our motorists abt the communist-style traffic discipline in Singapura. For incentives, you could offer them a free one-way holiday to a Siberian gulag plus the added option of life imprisonment or marrying an East-European nannie.

a Conformist for sure and coincidentally i was complaining about the same issue today. I was on the banaswadi ring road in bangalore, this evening and im ashamed to say that most people who broke signals seemed educated and from decent backgrounds who just do not know how to follow a set of rules that can improve traffic for themselves. My driver always says that the so called educated people are really not educated coz they cant read their numbers on the signal counter and usually never wait for the signal to turn green.

I only wish people are fined heavily for this offence. Well fines did work well when they tried enforcing the seat belt rule.

How we here at teambhp can influence others to follow traffic rules and make our respective cities better. I just helps us in the bargain.

Is that too much to ask for?
