Re: Attention to detail - Are we getting carried away?
In my opinion, our reviews are fantastic, it covers each and every minute aspect pertaining to the car. It may be a bit too slow to come out but unlike many mainstream publications there is no pressure to be first to produce that ‘first-drive report’. Most of us won’t jump into a booking immediately on a new car launch; most will see through the initial response, first batch niggles etc., before putting down the deposit. And our reviews are normally out before that ‘run-in’ period.
Another key aspect is the reference value of the reviews. Say you are in the market for a mid-segment SUV. The prospective buyer has the option to go and check one of the leading auto publication website. A search with the car/brand name will bring up a few reviews – overseas drive report from an exotic location, India first drive report, detailed review etc.; good enough to confuse the prospective buyer. Whereas, here the official review will stay as the one-stop read for that model until the new generation/face-lift arrives.
