Guess the exhaust sound of this car.... The answer is a big surprise....

Here is a sound clip which I have recorded...

Exhaust sound audio in salilpawar1's public channel on Twango

Can you guess which car's sound is it?

If you can guess it, you deserve this ---->

You'll be surprised to know the answer... I guarantee.
Keep Guessing......

But the problem is that the audio file requires Nokia Multimedia Player Version 1.1
I guess this software can be downloaded from the net by free.

Can somebody convert this file into any other desirable format. I was unable to do so...

@salilpawar1 - the file can be played if you have real player installed

by the way - IMO its someone's voice, i mean someone who is good at mimicking any kinda sound, has recorded it.

Adaptive Multi-Rate ACELP Codec i.e. AMR is a Speech encoding format used in GSM telephony.

It can be played in either Quicktime or Realplayer.

Tried with both Quicktime and Realplayer. Doesn't work for me on my XP box.

The answer is....

@ planet_rocker, shrivz, V-16, stevie

As promised you deserve this ---->

All of you guessed it right.
I basically tried to imitate the exhaust of a tuned old City Vtec. I have this passion of imitating automobile sounds, right since my childhood.

I didn't take any special efforts to record this...that is... you know... like removing the air noise which made the answer quite obvious.

Wait till my board exams get over, I will post a better recorded one, free from all the loopholes (and a user friendly audio format) and you will have a tough time guessing!!!

Some sounds which I love to imitate: OHC, Ashok Leyland buses (BEST buses complete with pom-pom honking and air brake sound and the works), Bajaj Pulsar, Yamaha RX 100, RD 350 and so on....

A big thank you to all of you....

Salil, those were pretty hilarious, albeit accurate at least as far as OHCs go!

I couldn't help but think of Chewbacca from Star Wars!!
