Thank you - recently being dragged into a lot of good articles on why Trumpland is going to exist, even without Trump in the scene. Docking this for the weekend! :thumbs up

Bit of marmite one - you love it or hate it. Typical Guy Ritchie gangster movie complete with cockney accents etc. Hugh Grant was brilliant. It get a little slow around the end of the 1st half but speeds up after the interval

LOL - wrong thread @ajmat? Or is there a documentarish background to that movie? lol:

You bet! Many fear he will return in 2024, especially as Biden doesn't or will not have the senate majority to support him in his endeavors at least for the next 2 years, and anything he does to undo Trump actions through executive powers will only consolidate Trump's base. At the same time, there will be enough headwinds to not keep Biden or democrat's base as enthusiastic and fervent as Trump's. I believe, 2016 Trump was good for the world, bad for US maybe, I don't know. But Trump 2024, if it happens, I believe will be bad for everyone.

Stumbled upon this documentary from 2013 the other day called "Jodorowsky's Dune" its titled as the greatest and the most ifluential science fiction movie never made.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0cJNR8HEw0

"In 1974, Chilean-French director ALEJANDRO JODOROWSKY set out to make what would have been one of the most ambitious movies ever realized: a 15 million dollar, 20+ hour-long adaptation of Frank Herbert’s Dune. Jodorowsky managed to assemble a team of spiritual warriors, including Orson Welles, Amanda Lear, Mick Jagger, and Salvador Dali, who demanded $100,000 per hour on set. The film was ultimately rejected by the studios, only to be made 10 years later by David Lynch, which resulted in one of cinema’s greatest flops."

Highly recommend "Deadliest Roads" Youtube playlist - 28 Episodes, 28 countries

Note that this documentary series is NOT the reality TV series of the same name.

It’s phenomenal. I have watched many of them...the way locals drive in every country is just insane.

On these lines, I would also recommend "Get me Roger Stone" on Netflix.

Has anyone seen Heroes in Netflix.

Mods please delete if not appropriate in this thread.

Not a movie but a documentary about major fraud caught on UK Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Excellent watch for 1.25 hrs.

Just watched this documentary cum movie. Its based on the underground racing culture of Cuba post the revolution as car racing was banned as it was considered capitalist and dangerous by the rebels. Its available on prime and a good watch. Also, has a lot of lovely American cars of yesteryears. Would rate it 3.8/5

I would rate it 5/5.
