Would strongly recommend "Dirty Money" on Netflix. Start with the VW emissions episode. Top class  Be sure to check out "Grand Prix Driver" on Prime. One of the best series that gives a yin-yan view of the world narrated by the amazing David Attenborough The World War 2 in HD : 5 / 5 (Netflix) A beautiful series timeline based of the WW2. Even if you know your world wars in detail, this is a must-watch visit as they keep bringing in old videos and photos from those days to connect to the storyline The Chernobyl Podcast : 5 / 5 (Youtube/other podcast sites) Technically this is a simple podcast aligned to the very popular series. It is a documentary because the author/writer/producer explains the background details and provides a much detailed view of what exactly happened back then, what was the global (outside Russia) view at that time and what is the realistic damage as compared to something similar happening today. If you have watched the series, do not give it a miss. The amount of details given by him is mind-blowing at times. Link: Quote:

Curiosity Stream is the Netflix of documentaries and costs just $3 per month. All documentaries on Curiosity Stream are 100% original  User interface is just like any other video streaming site and you can watch HD documentaries on various categories like science, space, World War 2, aviation, wildlife and so on. You get exclusive documentaries hosted by Stephen Hawking, David Attenborough etc too. |

Completely agree. Some of the visuals will make you think that it is not real and is all CGI. I picked up on this after my son started watching Ninjago. I refused to entertain him in watching that and we shifted his focus to Our Planet. It is unflinching in its story line. In the first few episodes there is show of death due to climatic changes and how it has caused certain animals to behave. | Re: The Documentaries Thread (English only) The Dawn Wall  A friend of mine who is into rock climbing recommended this. Holy smokes. What a story! I don't want to give too much away or even post the trailer, because I feel like there were a few crazy twists & turns in the story that might be ruined if I did that. The premise: Free-climbing a never-before climbed route on El Capitan in Yosemite National Park. But this is so much more than a documentary just about rock climbing.  Really worth a watch if you want an uplifting TRUE STORY about guts, determination, brotherhood, trauma, insane motivation, kidnapping, loss, overcoming obstacles -- all packaged into a very well put together & fast-moving documentary made by Red Bull media house.
