Remember when.....

Reading through another forum got inspired to start a game thread....Remember when.
Mods, if you feel this is another silly thread, please remove it.

Rule is all the posts should start with "Remember when" and can be related to any topic.

An example could be

Remember when a liter of petrol costed 10 bucks...
Remember when you could travel a distance of 10 KMS from home to work in 20 mins....

Hope you enjoy....

Remember when you dreamed about the fastest computer with large RAM and HDD space...well i am talking about 486 PC with 16 MB RAM and 500 MB HDD.

Remember when there were no MP3s and lifting music means lifting the tape from music store...

remember when there were no cams in the malls, and flicking things were easy

remember when the movie ticket costed only 5 bucks, but still you had to put a fight to collect 7 bucks(5 for ticket, 2 for some thing for grub)

Remember when you dreamed about a PC which actually had a harddisk so that you didn't have to carry everything on floppies, I am talking about a 8086 PC XT with 640K RAM and 10MB harddisk.
