What do you expect from Dhoni? In case of cricketers we have the habbit of giving them a fortune when they are not worth a penny.

Agree with E_T. Also this is the guy because of which an honest cop was transferred. Dhoni's fault was driving with the wrong set of tints.

And reportedly having a permit for doing the same. I don't know if you're aware but given a justifiable cause (or if you're in a small town, even a flimsy one) the RTO will issue you a certificate allowing you to drive your car with dark tints legally.

Usually this is given out to cars of VVIP's & Celebrities for security reasons.

Nope, that was a Scorpio as well

OT: Dunno what you guys feel but as far as "overnight" superstars are concerned, I would say that Dhoni's certainly proven his mettle as far as letting his bat do the talking - much more than a number of "SUPER CELEB" cricketers that we pamper & keep pampering! Just my opinion.............

No I am not aware of it, but will take you on your word.

I totally agree with what you have said, but the way the story was reported, there was no mention of Dhoni showing his permit. If he did, why would he be fined? And even if he were, why was the cop transferred?

Thats very true and thats the problem in India. So much hype is created for small things.

I think same is the case of Sania Mirza. She crashes out of almost all the tournaments but still people are crazy after her.

OT:He still has to prove his mettle, few knocks on wickets on which even a tailender would strike on, sixes on the smallest of grounds you will find anywhere and we have made him a demi-god!
There are other super celeb cricketers too but it doesn't help the case with dhoni.... they are all overrrated, ovepaid all at our expense.

Hey NBR, reportedly somebody from my office had attended the press conference and did take some pics of the car, will try to source it from my photographer , will also have take permission before posting them. Will try to get the specs of the car also. Only if Possible.
