Yes you can HOWEVER, though the mid-bass will improve, owing to the larger size of the driver you may find that the upper mids may reduce their accuracy and may sound a little muddled.

I want a pair.
Why i want them:
I want to put them in my car and add some thump.
I will drench him in beer and treat him to loads of biriyani when he next visits Hyd.

Will the enclosures necessary for these be smaller compard to 10" woofers?
I have JBL 937 ovals in the rear. Will these woofers add some more thump to these? What is the best amp (read both economical and perform well) to drive these?

Why i may not get them:
I can't pick them from Mumbai unless Sam is little more kind to ship them

Garibon ki suno....

Which is a damn nice song...garibon ki suno woh tumhari sunega, tum do woofer doge woh tumhe dus dega!!And then we can do even more DIY threads... I deserve brownie points for that!!!

I'm no ICE guru...but I definitely know what I wanna do with them. Think of Atria seats without the stupid water being splashed at you...I was thinking of integrating them into the base of my seats. Yes, yes!!I know it's ridiculouly difficult but that's what people said to Eddie bhai too...I think the thump would be super cool!!Gimme a pair already!!!

I will weight thee in beer....hell, will install a beer barrel in thy car!!Cheers...(hic)

Economical amplfier to drive a pair of these is the Pioneer 6200. I would be happy to give you a pair Satish, but you will have to ask a friend relative to pick them up from me.

Whoa Cowboy, almost lost those woofers there.

Email me, Harrie and Satish, see if you can have them picked up. One Pair each.

Great, that's 3 pairs gone so far. (If Satish can pick his pair up)

I do not have the parameters, however they can surely be found on the internet. I have no doubt LBM is furiously looking for them as we speak.
Raghvinder, please post them here when you find them.
Navin will be here shortly, he will have already used these woofers at some point in his life.

My guess is any amplifier 50W rms and above is good for them.

Sam

Would these be useful when I do my ICE upgrade in the future for my Honda? (of course after your recomended speaker upgrade) If yes then I'll have a set and keep them for future use. If not the other needy BHPians can have them

I will use up the details once I get the model number and build a box using their Thiele/Small Parameters. The box construction help can be sought from the ICE section OR from here BCAE . Once I have the boxes ready, I shall replace the existing 6x9 Alpines from my rear parcel tray which are running in S/W mode. They make a lot of boom and are useless. Hopefully I should be able to get over that boom using these boxes in my boot driven off the existing amp.
The Alpines will go into my best friends esteem who is using stock Kenwood 6 inch co-axials driven off the head unit.

And when I come to pick them up from you, I shall treat you to beer at the restaurant in the corner of Girgaum chowpatty right opposite Shiv Sagar. I forgot the name sorry!
