Re: Your New Year 2020 automotive resolutions?

My Personnel resolutions usually won’t work but with regards to my car let me pen them down :
1. Upgrade the fog lamps to projectors
2. Get a dash cam
3. Upgrade the ICE
4. Switch to fully synthetic engine oil and last but not least
5. If all the above don’t keep me glued to my Baleno then I might have to start car shopping

Re: Your New Year 2020 automotive resolutions?

To be more confident while driving and not be distracted by my mobile phone. Maintaining proper speed which includes not driving too slow nor too fast.
I wanna fix my sx4 as it suffers from many scars in the rear right.

Re: Your New Year 2020 automotive resolutions?

I have not worked up a new year resolution for the last 10+ years and so it continues this year
However, i am hopeful that the "New Car" bug stops gnawing on me and i continue with my existing truck for another year at least. This was bought thanks to listening to the heart. However, the last couple of years the head has been ruling in decision making. Need to really break out of that mould and spend the well saved money on upskilling

Re: Your New Year 2020 automotive resolutions?

Well, what a time for this thread to come to life. I have just got my self a spanking new Ecosport Trend TDCI(christened: Alpha). My only goal in this year is, to enjoy it as much as possible.

Apart from that, I would like to add some nice accessories to the Alpha. Leather seats, damping, a little chrome here and there, Noodle/5d mats, etc.. All these are just what I would like to have in the Alpha, but not forcing or limiting myself on these.
Remember, goal is to enjoy the fabulous car by driving it.

Re: Your New Year 2020 automotive resolutions?

My list includes:

1. Getting my driving license. Waiting for more than a decade and with only 13 days left, I'm brimming with excitement.

2. Go for a proper highway drive. Just me, the machine and the memories.

3. Increase road safety awareness among the people I interact with. It's unbelievable how many people still believe that seat belts are only required for the front seats.

4. Try to put up a short & sweet review of our recently acquired Honda Civic.

5. Get a SUV like the Compass or an Endeavour to complete the 'Beauty and the Beast' lineup.

Re: Your New Year 2020 automotive resolutions?

I don't belive in new year resolutions at all. As always, I will keep my Abarth and Duke 390 in top shape. Currently I am munching more miles on D390, will try to balance the load with Abarth.

Re: Your New Year 2020 automotive resolutions?

My resolution is not to waste any more money on cars

Last year I spent 6k+ for a 3M Schutz Undercoating hoping it will magically make my Corolla Altis silent, went out out of the showroom after 30min of waiting and then there was sudden downpour, the money went down the drain.
Need to renew my driving license, so do it myself and not through any agent.

Re: Your New Year 2020 automotive resolutions?

Warm New Year wishes to beloved Bhpains!!

Though not a 2020 resolution, these are the two activities in my immediate wishlist:

1. Get my Figo remapped. Looks like some horses have escaped and would like to add some extra fun. Weighing up my options.....

2. Go for a couple of long rides in my recent acquisition, Imperiale 400

Cheers and happy motoring...

Re: Your New Year 2020 automotive resolutions?

1. Clear the car loan.
2. Upsize the tires to 205/60 R14 on my Figo.(already upsized one damaged tire and marked it as spare)
3. Add a 40 inch Mictuning or Nilight lightbar on dash to negate the need to mount the 4x Hella 500 for every night drive.
4. Upgrade the horns from the current Minda HN09(oem)+Supertones+Europas to Supertones+Europas+Megasonic.

Re: Your New Year 2020 automotive resolutions?

Here's my list

1. Floor damping
2. DIY - Making the car rattle free as much as possible.
3. Detailing the car with a friend.

Not taking on too much, but this should keep me happy and going through the year with the time I have to spare for the car. And of course - few long drives

Re: Your New Year 2020 automotive resolutions?

I plan to give my Baleno a good paint sealant coating, its been more than 3 years and I have not done anything for the car.

Nano will complete 9 years, so the plan is just to maintain it as it is and do some light mods.

I plan to upgrade from my Montra Rock 1.0 to a better bicycle.

Re: Your New Year 2020 automotive resolutions?

Not resolution, but I will try to do a Rajashtan and Kabini Forest ride this year. Sandakphu was in plan but dropped as bikers not allowed.
Happy New Year.
