These are top five on my Made-in-India List:
1.Mercedes E250D W124 (That chassis type seems to be an all time favourite)
2. Hyundai Accent CRDi (Yes.I'm loyal!)
3.Skoda Octavia RS/1.9 TDi (Technically,that's two cars)
4.Mahindra MM550 4WD (The bare basics Jeep)
5.Hyundai Santro Xing ABS (More easy to drive in town than an auto)
That's the 'real Indian' pick of the lot.I do love a lot of other cars like Hyundai Terracan CRDi,the Toyota Land Cruiser Amazon, the Ariel Atom, the Vauxhall VX220,the Hyundai Tucson CRDi,the Toyota Avensis, the Toyota Celica (New),the Honda Integra Type R and.............(what did you expect from a car buff? The list goes on......)But they're not actually made here. The Tucson will be,but that's another story.

NO COLONELJASI , the Tucson will not be manufactured in india(atleast in the initial stages) ,rather it will be directly imported from Korea , it will come through CBU route , like Terracan.

Hmmm this one is tough...Let me see..

1) S class: I can write a book on why its my fav.
2) Skoda Octy RS: Looks phenomenal, runs phenomenal,
feels,phenomenal.
3) Ford Endeaver: Loads of attitude, true performer.
4) Honda accord V6: Awe inspiring looks, skull craking perfomance.
5) Honda City Vtec: Best of C segment bargain.

After all this writeup I can only imagine if I possessed all of these...hmmmm....huhhh...uffffsss.... :WTF: hell man!!!

for me its;
1> Esteem mpfi -- the car that changed the rules.
2> Honda City VTEC -- elegant style, royal power.
3> Baleno -- the kickass vehicle.
4> Grand Vitara XL-7 -- for the american style DOnutsand Burnouts.
5> Merc C200 Kompressor-- taut handler.

Sad the Beemers are only imports or else the M3 , M5, M6....yummm.

I've been going through some of the recent replies to this thread. I wonder how many have even read the original post.
Firstly, this topic was started when many of the cars available now were not around. Forget the Maybach and the RR Phantom, even cars like the Hyundai Getz and Skoda Octavia RS were not available.
Secondly, it's clearly mentioned that the current C, E and S Class Mercs should be kept out of one's llist.
