Re: Your favourite song while driving

There's three trent reznor tracks that I put on in the car repeatedly nowadays:
1. The day the whole world went away
2. Immigrant song
3. Copy of a....(is that the right title?)

Killer work!

Re: Your favourite song while driving

I'm more into progressive trance, lounge, ambiental fusion mix these days. I prefer to let my mood compose its own lyrics. I know very few of people anywhere know such music but I think it's a treat for one's auditory senses and one's music collection isn't complete without giving a listen to the genre apart from the ever present pop, soft rock & hiphop. Such tunes encompass Indian, Western, Arabic and almost every sort of signature vocals/instruments fused and blended into mature perfection. I shall list out my top 10 tunes, but if anyone wants more I'll be glad to give. Do try it out in the car during the usual stressful route. People who prefer soft yet smooth modern tunes like myself will absolutely love it. All tunes can be found on Youtube.

1.Peyton Trio - Lazy Afternoon
2.Dance of the Seven Veils - Mystic Diversions
3.Roald Velden - Complicated
4.Roald Velden - For You
5.Frank Borell - Wake up in Paradise
6.Evocativ - Cast Away
7.ATB - Careless
8.Paul Easy- You make my life Better
9.Faruk Sabanci - As faces Fade
10.Melodic Brothers - Short Novel

Re: Your favourite song while driving

My favorite tracks keep on changing, but there is this set that is on my playlist for almost a year now Andrew Bayer - Group Therapy 050 Live From Alexandra Palace

https://soundcloud.com/andrewbayer/a...up-therapy-050

Other then this , when I am tired of electronic music (happens rarely) following tracks start playing:

Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars

Tracy Chapman - Fast Car

The Cranberries - Zombie

Cheers!

Re: Your favourite song while driving

For a change - This is the track that I avoid listening to, while driving. 'Take a look around' by Limp Bizkit. Invariably gets my pulse racing.

What are you listening to?

We have a thread for movies and the best aid to the movie is its music. So I thought of creating a thread exclusively for the music we are listening to. This might be a genre, single, album, artist.
I listen to pop mostly, some hip hop and hints of electronic/house. I don't have a single Hindi song in my collection . As an avid music lover, I have no favourite, so here are some songs that I usually end up, listening to:
1) Bang Bang by Jessie J
2) Jealous by Nick Jonas
3) Heart Attack by Demi Lovato (I know it's getting old!)
4) Bad Blood by Bastille
5) 1989 (album) by Taylor Swift
6) Rewind (album) by Rascal Flatts
7) Guts Over Fear by Eminem
8) Pure Heroine (album) by Lorde
There's a lot more but then the list would be huge.
Come on guys, tell us what you are listening to!
Peace!

Re: Your favourite song while driving

Presently Abhang's by Pandit Bhimsen Joshi!

I am a creature of varied taste so these day i oscillate between Hindustani classical to Carnatic Classical and some days even go back to listening to Jethro Tull!

Re: Your favourite song while driving

Most of the times it is Indian Classical with the likes of Pt Bhimsen Joshi, Pt Jasraj, Dr Vasantrao Deshpande, Kishori Amonkar, Pt Jitendra Abhisheki. This can be replaced by the recordings of P.L.Deshpande.

Nothing heavy or irritating which can add to the already rising frustration while driving.
