I keep all my/our car keys separate from any and all other keys. Some people have these massive sets of keys dangling from the ignition. Although it is not an immediate issue, some people say it might wear out your ignition lock mechanism. I have seen ridiculous sets of keys, that would certainly take a hefty toll on it.

I only take the keys for whatever car I happen to be taken. I keep my house keys as a separate set (only three keys) and my bicycle key separate too. I only take what I need/use. So that is usually the house key and one set of car keys or the bicycle key.

I don’t go overboard on the key rings either. I did add a nice Alfa Romeo logo to the Spider key set and a Mercedes one to the W123. The Spider also has an engine demobiliser bit to it.

The little shiny key on the W123 ring is for the special anti theft device I place on the steering wheel of the W123 wherever I park it out on the public roads

The keys of the Jaguar came with this little stainless steel plate attached showing the original Jaguar dealer in Asheville. I like that as it is part of the car’s heritage.

On my regular cars I don’t even have a key ring attached, just these fobs. There should be two more, but both cars are out for the day.

I hate extra stuff on the car key ring.

It is just the a hook to hang it off my belt loop since I never put it in my pockets and a Ford strap I picked up from the Ford Historical museum when visiting Detroit. It has a silicone cover too on the FOB.

With all this, once when it didn't hook onto my belt loop properly, it fell on the footpath and I didn't hear it land since it was all soft material. Thankfully, the shop owner next to where it fell, saw it and kept it with him till I went searching. In that way, more the stuff on it, the lesser the chance to loose it.

Mine is a very simple key fob with cover.

I don't use any ring as I love the way it is.

My Honda Amaze smart key + Home key. Key chain is a simple LP one which LP gifted me.
The Key can Open the boot, Lock and Unlock the door. It has a good range but it costs a whopping Rs 16000 in spare for a pair.

I detest the dangling sound which a bunch of keys make when the car goes over a bad patch of road. Briefly flirted with the idea of using a Team-BHP keychain but in the end, decided to stay stock.

Here's mine with my trusted Bibendum tyre pressure gauge along with an ST badge for my Ecosport S!

Although my car has TPMS, I sometimes compare to make sure the readings are correct.

I prefer to have just one set of keys on my pocket. Hence have my Apartment Entrance key fob, apartment key, mail box key, a supermarket membership card, and a small metal plank gifted by my wife and kid when we got the car.

My car key is along with an Acrylic number plate replica and a belt hook.

It has my phone number as well along with the car registration number so that if at all my key is lost, some good soul can contact me and give it back.

I understand the risks involved but anyway by pressing the unlock button,it would flash the turn signals and make a stranger identify my car. So I hope it is not dangerous, if the registration number and contact number is displayed in public

I am a self confessed sneaker head. My key chain is a miniature hand painted Air Jordan 1 from an online store called The Mini Sneaker Shop. My house key is secured a silicon sheath to save anything else in my pocket from its sharp teeth.

I picked it up from a stationary store in Singapore. But I just checked online now and a search for silicone key protector yielded some results.
