I have the number plate key chain as well which was a part of my car keys but the security angle made me remove it and move it to my other key bunch. I got this from fotvilla.in.

The other cool key chain is a Fiat 1.3 diesel engine valve (shortened in height for the key chain).:D. I got this as I used to work for a company that manufactured these valves and we got these made from the rejected parts.

Not applicable to cars, but I stumbled upon a good use case for NOT using a key chain on a bike key.

I was in a hurry to get to an appointment and parked my bike on the road near a metro station. Was a designated parking area, but was not enclosed or anything like that. Got back after 3 hours and found that I had left my bike keys on the bike itself! I think it was because it was a slim black key against a black panel that no one noticed and took off with the bike. That too it was a black Pulsar, the most commonly lifted bike in Bangalore!

(Of course a much better practice is to NOT forget one's keys on the bike in the first place!)

I use some pretty simple ones.

Funny story. I didn't have a keychain for many years. But then I discovered AliExpress, and the madness started.

1. I started with a cover for the key itself, which made it heavier and bulkier.
2. It became painful to carry it in my hand or trouser pocket while walking between the parking lot and my office building, so I got a belt hook.
3. While moving houses recently, I discovered the Team BHP keychains that I had bought a long time ago and forgotten all about, so that got added.
4. Finally, I saw the loop with the German colors on AliExpress while idly browsing one day, and I just HAD to have it.

As a UI Engineer, I vouch for consistency :rules:. Keys of all my drives proudly wear LTD keychains. Activa's key is missing here as it went out.

Also observe, my car key doesn't have the ring. I intentionally removed it to make the key simple. And hey, it worked well. Attention to detail :cool:

Simplicity is the 'key', for me☺

For me the design of the key is really important. If someone is holding a beautifully designed key for example that of Hyundai, I would ask for the key to the person just to admire it.

Old school keys have a charm of a different league altogether. Its simple, elegant, no fancy central locking buttons. I might keep a collection of keys in future if possible :)

The keys to My Fz25, Ford Figo(2010), and the keys of the Ecosport S. Loved the Ford Metallic key ring so decided to keep it.

Currently using this keychain. Bought it on Ali Express.

My current set up is very convenient, just have the key in the pocket and forget about it.

I do miss the old school type of key, the feeling when you turn the key around to hear the engine come to life is just simply amazing. :D
