Motorola re-entered the Indian market last year, tying up with Flipkart to sell its devices exclusively through the retailer. That partnership has now come to a close, as Motorola announced that it would be making its products available on Airtel retail stores across the country along with two competing e-commerce sites, Amazon India and Snapdeal.

The first handset available through other channels is the Moto E 2015, which is sold in 3G and 4G configurations for ₹5,999 ($91) and ₹6,999 ($106) respectively. There's no mention as to when we'll see more recent devices like the Moto X Play available from other stores.

With 5.6 million smartphones sales since February 2014 — crossing over 2.6 million sales this year alone — the device manufacturer is certainly doing well in the country. Broader availability will serve to further the cause.

The other models should also be available from other retailers with competitive pricing in near future?

Not a very happy customer so far.
They sent me a tracking number from Ecom Express which didnt work for 2 days and now says courier has picked it up.
Their telephone numbers dont work except for one number.
The website says package is still not dispatched.
The phone support has no clue what happened.
Most likely the package will reach after I leave for my trip and will be useless.
I hope they have a return policy.

For tracking for Aliexpress orders, for packages with tracking numbers in the format RxxxxxxxxxxCN

http://www.trackingmore.com/china-post-tracking.html (till it reaches India)
http://ipsweb.ptcmysore.gov.in/ipswebtracking/ (in India)

Other sites - including the status on Aliexpress orders - look to be behind.

re: The Online Shopping Thread

Aliexpress, ordered some 21 items,
2 items sent by unregistered China post did not arrive, got refund,
most of items by China Registered post reached Bangalore in 21 days on average,
Some items arrived without tracking details updated on http://ipsweb.ptcmysore.gov.in/ipswebtracking/
Even got Powerbank by Dutch Post in 19 days flat.
worth the money for some items like Epson N73 equivalent cartridges. Locally online over Ebay.in cost a bomb of 2500 per set of CMYB, Got 3 sets for
Rs 1140. Quality is as good as Original Epson Inkjet Cartridges.
Choosing Seller carefully helps, Feedback are some times misleading, Number of Orders placed helps.

re: The Online Shopping Thread

Friends,

How has been your experience with eBay India? I have not ordered ever from them.
I see a very good deal for OPO One - 64GB on following link:

http://www.ebay.in/itm/OnePlus-One-6...item2359cc7a51

The deal appears to be good and genuine. However, was a bit skeptical as all other sites ( Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal ) are quoting higher amount than this one.

Please guide.

Seller is new and has only 165 ratings. It might be a grey market piece. You can message him and find out. Ebay is not a problem as you can return if you are not satisfied. Just ensure not to use the product if you find anything fishy. I have purchased many items but nothing high value from eBay.

Thanks divguy!
Is there any issue that I need to be aware of in the case that it turns out to be a grey market piece? Would it void warranty?

Yes you pretty much wont get warranty. You can write to the seller to get a direct answer from eBay. i am about to purchase some compatible PS3 controllers for my son and am going to ask the same way if the pieces depicted are compatible or genuine sony items.

re: The Online Shopping Thread

Guys, has anyone checked the "Preview Monday sale" on Snapdeal? great discounts on branded products every hour, just saw iPhone 6 with 64 GB priced 47,499/- and 16 GB 38,999/-. Which is almost 5k less compared to the prices quoted in other online shopping websites.

Funny part was, saw a car mobile holder which was priced just 30/- but delivery charges at 100/-.

Toshiba 2 TB portable hard drives are available on Snapdeal for really good prices. 5800 odd, with 10% cash back with State Bank cards. That's the cheapest I've come across online.

Anybody using Toshiba hard drives? Any user opinions?
