In the hullabaloo of lockdown, I forgot to fuel up. Then the govt decided to deny fuel too. Now there's fuel a little above the empty line to idle the car for 10 minutes and move around a bit.

So a full tank of diesel. Followed by a long drive on the highway.

Oil-change service parts. My car has been throwing up the service reminder since the last couple of weeks.

Well back here in Mumbai, all the fuel pumps are barricaded and only vehicles of essential services employees are given fuel. That too after proper inspection of papers/e-pass.

Head says go get a haircut thought the idle devil's workshop turn up at the office to in orange clothes, long shabby hair, overgrown jungle of beard & shock the bosses. PS I am not switching on my video during our team calls citing bandwidth concerns.

Heart says go replace the phone. My Moto X4 is giving up on its life. Its heavily overworked. I have been dilly-dallying to buy an Apple XR (almost bought XR on April 23 but feared job cuts and postponed it) or One+ 7T or Pixel 3a. A good camera is a must. Samsung let me down on the user interface so they are not into consideration. (Also the fact that all the Samsungs owned by the immediate family were not lucky - J something moms went to the washing machine. Dads Samsung tab was stolen in the train, Dads Samsung J something was lost in train. Big moto fan but no great models on offer right now(regard it as the new Nokia- hell my X4 fell in a pot of boiling milk and had full recovery) Any other suggestions are welcome.

The very first thing that I'd buy will be a chair *exactly* same as the one I use in my office :-)

It's been a royal pain in the posterior and backbone, to sit at home on my regular Nilkamal plastic chair and work 10hrs per day

To top it, my home AC conked off the very first week of lockdown :-( I use it only during April's, and it had to go off in this very month.

So, it's to be a nice proper chair + my AC service that I'll go after, once this d*mned nCoV-19 inflicted lockdown ends.

Oh, I miss my office (but not the commute) !

All of this havoc has made me realize life is truly very short and no point deferring things.

Voted for others, though I might checkout some good used car deals once the lockdown lifts.

In the others I intend to-

• Head to a buffet restaurant, something like Absolute Barbecue's and the likes!(Provided the Corona effect has gone down considerably)
• Get parent's bedroom AC repaired. Currently, parents and me using my bedroom (thankfully purchased AC for the room in January 2020)
• Get our Amaze servicing done. The oil's been leaking currently.
• Not a purchase per say, but go on atleast a one day road trip.

I realized ,we all must have saved much more than usual months during this lockdown in spite of stocking up on things.

Many of us do binge shopping every time we visit a mall /shopping centre.
This all can stop and we can go back to our childhood days when we used to wait to shop during Diwali/during other occasions.

Its possible people are worried about paycuts we may face due to this crisis.

It would be interesting to know what is the average age of a team bhpian, Mods maybe you guys can pull a report and let us know, since what you need is going to vary quite a lot depending on your age which is the case even in normal times.

A lot of things to be bought, Though voted for Electronics.

I have a feeling that e-commerce sites might be allowed for a short time before extending the lock down again. If that happens following are the things that I will order.


1. Phone, mine is on it's last legs
2. Low end Laptop
3. Headphones for WFH calls, current ones might not last a long time
4. Hair trimmer
5. Cooler or Table fan as mitigation (Our ACs have been damaged after a power surge)
6. Trippers for ACs and Fridge (local Electrician)
7. Take delivery of the bike I booked before lockdown, again local activity,

Post lock-down I’m going to be more conservative than before
1.Get two new pairs of spectacles from Lenskart, while one goes as a spare.
2.Change my TV remote and purchase a new one. Existing remote was good till lock-down was announced. Now it looks like an accident victim.

Will not got out all bonkers for buying stuff. But some priorities needs to be addressed.

Monitor for WFH set up. Mac Air 13 inch screen is just not enough.
Car Tyre inflator. Since tyres are having less life now, don't want to get stranded till the time i replace them.
Pram and some other items for my 3 month old Kid.
Car service is pending since February, have to get it done asap. Since my warranty is lapsed. Thinking to try out GoMechanic.
Air Cooler is another purchase which I'm holding up for a long time.

We have a baby on the way and we intend to buy baby related stuff like crib, swing, clothes etc in case there's going to be another lockdown in future

I am going to go for all the materials required to make a terrace garden and back yard garden.

Herbs / Potted plants / Etc

And get some equipment for a home gym
