RIP Rishi Kapoor-images-1.jpeg

News coming in that Rishi Kapoor just passed away.
He practically grew up in the movies and ended up being a very fine actor. Sad news.

Re: RIP Rishi Kapoor

Loss of two colossus’s on subsequent days, pretty sad indeed. Just when we thought that both Irfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor have overcome their respective ailments after a stint of long treatment abroad, the news of death of both is kind of shocking! We have lost a genuine voice today. Rishi Kapoor was well known for his outspokenness which is a rare thing in the film industry these days. At one point of time during the nineties I remember, Rishi Kapoor held a record for working with maximum debutant heroines. Distinct mannerisms and a charmer on screen, loss of a fine chivalrous gentleman.

Re: RIP Rishi Kapoor

Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan had to travel together to their heavenly abode too!!

Rest in peace dear Chintoo!

Only last weekend I was watching symphonies that had music from Bollywood stalwarts like RD Burman and more that I came across this lovely video of a symphony from Rishi Kapoor's famous movie Karz.

You can see in this video how Rishi Kapoor admires the man behind the famous tune Gorakh Nath and has only praises and respect for the musician.

As always, it is always lovely to watch one of the most lively actors of all time.

We ended our yesterday with Piku, and today for sure it will be Do Dooni Char, one of his recent bests for me.

Cant believe this is happening. Yesterday it was Irrfan, and today Rishi Kapoor - One of the most dashing heroes of yesteryears who continued to enthrall even now. May his soul rest in peace. 2020 is a year best forgotten

Re: RIP Rishi Kapoor

Rishi Kapoor was one of those who effortlessly blended into character roles in his second innings. What a revelation he was in a negative role in Agneepath and D-Day. This one feels a bit more sad because he was part of my growing up days.
An interesting trivia that my wife pointed out- The lovers in the triangle called "Chandni" are all gone !

Re: RIP Rishi Kapoor

I still remember when I was 9 or 10 and my Mamu insisted me on watching Karz, which I did. There was this particular scene with Pran, when Rishi Kapoor is drunk and arguing over what the antagonist Kamini Devi would have done to his mother and sister. It’s a single long take and absolutely dark with no background music and the camera was constantly moving between the two actors. I was just a kid but right then Rishi Kapoor had convinced me of his great acting. Karz which is an uncredited remake of The Reincarnation of Peter Pan and that mysterious Karz theme is lifted off from George Benson’s We As Love still continue to be one of my favourites.
RIP Rishi Kapoor, your fabulous movies and Bollywood’s first chocolate boy image will serve as inspiration for years to come.

Re: RIP Rishi Kapoor

What a loss!
First Irfan and now Chintu.
Absolutely loved him in Karz!
Looks like both of them are working on a sequel to D-Day in heaven!
ॐ शांति

Who can forget this?

Re: RIP Rishi Kapoor

A picture could say a thousand or more words. This image was shared by Rishi Kapoor on Twitter on Father's Day, just a few years before his passing away.
