Manjunath finally gets justice

Remember the IIM educated officer of IOC who dared to expose adulteration at petrol pumps and was murdered due to this.
A local court has pronounced all the 8 accused guilty. Quantum of punishment will be decided upon hearing the arguments on monday

Don't have to remind, I think almost everybody knows him with his name.
I am happy with the outcome of this case. Hope the same would have happended for Satyendra Dubey case (IITian working for NHAI).

Verdicts like this show our judiciary is functioning still in our country. I am happy with the judgment, hopefully the right felons (or the wronged ones) got convicted.

Well basically this chap was posted in Eastern UP (Which is quite a lawless region, very similar to Bihar) and he found a particular petrol pump owner was adulterating the fuels big time. So he warned him that unless he stopped the adulteration he would report to the company & have the license for the pump withdrawn.

When he couldn't be bribed the petrol pump owner hired goons who alongwith the Owner's son murdered Manjunath. But to their bad luck while transporting the body to dispose it off they got caught by the police red-handed. This created a huge flutter in the national media & especially at IIM-Lucknow which was Manjunath's alma mater.

Due to the media & some activism from public & IIM faculty & students the case was persued properly & has come to a just end swiftly.

I was very glad to hear the verdict. I hope the guilty get a very severe punishment for their crimes.

Followed this on television and indeed was very happy. But now what? They will go in for the appeal at the High court and then the surpreme court... I guess unless Supreme count pronounces them guilty, they arent :( But atleast they will be in jail till then!
