looking for used palio 1.6gtx or baleno

guys i'm looking for a used palio 1.6 gtx or a used baleno, preferably 2000 or 2001 models in mumbai. i tried calling up jmd and classic cars , but they didnt have any in stock .
help needed.....thanx

Try Sai Service. They had a Baleno, year 2000 listed in Times Drive on Firday. They're asking for Rs. 2.87 lacs. They also had a Palio 1.6GTX, year 2001 for Rs. 2.49 lacs.

as per autocar india palio 1.6gtx gives a milage of 15 on the highway that is pretty ok ,but does older models like 2001 give 15 on the highway, i heard frm friends that the milage of palio 1.6 is way below 10 ,please suggest..thanx

One thing i have heard is that the 1.6 palio's mileage greatly improves if you give it some high octane petrol.
Also there is a yahoo forum that is dedicated to palios and im sure they would be able to give u a much more accurate view from a large base of palio users. I cant seem to remember the URL, but i think Anoop is a member there as well, and will be able to provide the URL (try PMing him).

hi

well its my dad who is gonna pay for it and so milage is a concern , he was inclined towards buying a 800cc alto
,and i some how convinced him to look out for a used palio..

At the best 9 kmpl and thats if u go easy on the gas but if ur nick describes ur driving style, 7 kmpl is probably wat u will get. So if dads paying then think twice coz he sure as hell will blow his top very soon .. lol Dunno about the highway yet but will let u know in about 10 days after I complete a 500 kms high way trip.

The BAleno is preety decent in terms of mileage
10 in the city and 15 on the highway
add to it the powerful engine competing well with the classic 1.5 city.
the Ac is best in class.
the parts of Baleo a bit expensive.
Try gettig the Baleno 2000 for abt 2.60 to 2.70...its a good deal
Since a brand new costs abt 6 k on on road thane
But do get 14 inchers on it

I agree with Khaadu. Theres no way a Palio will deliver 15 kmpl on the highway unless you drive in extreme economy mode. But if you do want to drive in extreme economy, its best to buy a diesel!

roughly 2.4-2.6, but if u lucky liek me maybe even lesser. Just find someone who is desperate to sell it. Not a car lover, but someone who bought it in the hype that palio greated or some real gud sales person.
