Business Visit - Thailand, Pakistan, China, Taiwan, USA, UK, France, Italy, UAE, Bahrain, Turkey and Egypt - all multiple times

Working - Ukraine, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia

Transit - lost count

So, 14 in all. This year hope to add Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Kenya and Tanzania

I was lucky to witness the last Air France Concorde flight in 2003 as I was at the airport tarmac en-route to board my Air India flight to Mumbai

I started realizing my dream of traveling once I started earning (back in 2015-16 when I was 25).

I had a dream to visit 30 before 30, taking at least a week at each place and in a few cases 2-3 weeks in each country. I've been doing around 2 trips a year and have visited:

1. India <3
2. Thailand
3. China
4. Cambodia
5. Indonesia
6. Singapore (Twice)
7. Sri Lanka
8. France
9. Belgium
10. Netherlands (Twice)
11. Germany
12. Czechia (Twice)
13. Hungary
14. Slovakia (3 days)
15. Italy
16. UAE
17. Ukraine (Chernobyl :D)
18. Japan
19. Vatican City (3 days)
20. Hong Kong & Macau
21. Austria
22. Poland
23. Turkey
24. Israel
25. Australia

COVID has unfortunately put a dent in my dream of 30 before 30, which I turn in May 2021. :Frustrati

PS: I have not added transit countries which will take this tally up significantly, but the true value added would be insignificant. lol:

Being Die Hard Indian, India comes first, the first 5 countries for work

India
UAE
Oman
Maldives
Vietnam

The below ones travelling, meeting family and work

South Africa
Japan
South Korea
Laos
Cambodia
Nepal
Singapore
Malaysia
Srilanka
Thailand
Indonesia

Have been to 8 countries so far (including work and vacations) and each one has been memorable - US, UK, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines. Have spent more time in the US than the others as they have been work visits and absolutely loved driving in the US. Europe was a honeymoon destination and will always remain special. South East Asia is probably the most convenient and easy getaway holiday beach location from India and always has so much to discover.

COVID has put on travel plans on hold for a while now, but hopefully a year down the line can start travelling again.

13 if you count England and Scotland as separate countries and no transits included. Iceland is by far the most beautiful country I have been to. Most of these countries are in Europe since that has been our favourite vacation spot.

Can't wait to start travelling again. Australia/NZ and the Patagonia region are on the cards for future trips.

My count is 7

Lived: 2, apart from India of course (KSA, Bahrain)

In-Transit: 1 (Sri Lanka)

Visited: 4 - Germany, Italy, France, Vatican (Does it count ? I'm not sure)

Was supposed to increase that this year. But then...Oh well! :Frustrati

Cheers
Krishna

Of all, this interests me. How was your visit to Pakistan? Haven't heard of much business happening between us and them, curious to know a bit on your travel there.

There's already a separate thread by a fellow bhpian visiting Pakistan, quality of motorways seems impeccable there (loosely modelled on the US Interstate Highway system).

My ancestors were from Karachi, relocated to Rajkot (Gujarat) after partition. Have heard quite a few stories of their childhood in and around Karachi, with a large and thriving Hindu population and numerous Hindu (even Jain) temples flourishing there, before partition.

Jigar Shah

Sri Lanka (my first ever overseas trip)
US of A - Boston/Chicago/NY/NJ/Midwest Nebraska
Australia - Sydney
UK - London
Malaysia - KL
Singapore
UAE (Dubai)
Sweden - Stockholm

Would have added China and Poland to the list if not for Covid 19

Bucket List: Backpack through Europe/Scotland/Ireland
Mekong River cruise
China/Hong Kong
Russia

That's an achievement in my booksclap: if you're work involves traveling to different countries, that's great(a lil bit of envy from my sidelol:)

I've been only to Bhutan and seeing you're numbers, it's an inspiration for me to travel beyond India, but before that I want to visit all the States and UT's of our country ( visited about 9 states and 1 UT till date)
