2021 plans include
1. More Long and short drives exploring nature
2. Start riding again after a long gap of over 10 years (perhaps an EV)
3. Reduce carbon footprint, cycling when i can

My resolutions would be something like this

1) Stop spending on Cars, just ensure the regular maintenance is done
2) Figure out ways to make my son use the car seat
3) Stop worrying about FE, already the running has come down to 1-2K Kms/year from 15K so its high time to enjoy the ride and not worry about the economics in what ever opportunity i would get to drive.

Waiting for my Sonet to start my series of travel, I always had the dream to travel to all the destinations in India first in my car but with a little one at home couldn't possible do it. Hopefully this year would be different.

2021 plans include

1. A short trip once a month with friends and dear ones
2. A long trip to my grandmothers in Coorg at least twice a year and once a year to my in-laws
3. To cover all the south Indian temples (a wishful thinking, but lets see how the year goes)
4. To be more careful while driving and always drive within speed limits (I tend to forget that I have a family while driving)
5. To be more responsible and kind to my fellow commuters on road.

A very important year this is;

1. Say goodbye to my almost 10 year old Polo and replace it with the Taigun (let's see)
2. Ride my motorcycle every week till the weather is good
3. Give a new shade and coat of paint to my 31 year old 118NE
4. Walk more, drive less for shorter commutes
5. Get a hybrid bicycle that my daughter and wife can enjoy too
6. Get a new daily driver for me; now this gets interesting. Not decided which one but pre-owned for sure

My automotive resolutions and car plans for 2021

1. Give in to my brother's recommendation of buying a used luxury car in 2021
2. Get pending jobs on Corolla done: Bumper, windshield, headlight, seat covers, Bluetooth, Original RC reissue
3. Maintain better cleanliness across all vehicles in the household
4. Make at least 2 road trips in 2021.
5. Buy a bicycle and ride it on alternative mornings to mix with my morning walks. Goal: 30 kms a week
6. Find a way to carry the bicycle with the Corolla

*Replace my 2011 Swift(P) with a new Silver Jeep Compass(P)/Skoda Kliq(Vision IN)(P)

1) Start cycling again. I have been waiting for office to be resumed but its not happening anytime soon and I don't want to make more excuses.

2) At least 2 cross country drives in 2021. (In Europe, it was fairly easy to drive to another country before pandemic but not anymore).

I recently had an accident while riding my D400 and cannot bend my ring and index fingers now thus can't operate the clutch.My resolution is to ride my bike again and maybe try to extract some mileage from my Petrol Nexon ( ~10 now)

1. Drive more often and clock lots of highway miles on many many highway trips. Enjoy the new diesel steed in our garage to the maximum, especially on open roads.
2. Drive in a much more calm and relaxed manner.
2. Curb road rage incidents as much as possible - in other words, maintain zen like stature in annoying Bangalore traffic conditions.

1. Sell away the unused 2017 KTM RC 390

2. Sell away the 2 secondary cars and buy a safe premium hatchback or a C-SUV

3. Avoid selling my 5.5 year old 131k km run primary car, atleast until 2022

4. Drive the primary car more(other than work), explore more destinations

5. Use the Safari Storme more, atleast make the driver use it (that's why I am selling away both small beater cars and getting just one new)

6. Get dash cams installed in all my cars (currently primary car alone has one)

7. Avoid getting angry on road, even if angry, avoid cussing, even if cussing, avoid getting out of the car

I am getting bored of my Baleno day by day and the 'itch upgrade' is inching closer to bite me. Financially I cannot think of a change any time in the near future considering the un-certainty of private jobs. Hence, thinking of spicing up my car which will make me stick to her as long as possible :

1. Switch to fully synthetic oil
2. Dash Cam
3. Fog upgrades to projectors
4. Audio upgrade

God help me if the above won't change my mind.
