The Jaguar and the Viper logos are my favorites. Aggressive, a bit sinister and high impact all at the same time!

I love the Corvette logo for its simplicity and straight forwardness:

Among the logos which pay homage to their founders, I love the De Tomaso one:

I just love the Mitsubishi logo. Especially the way it is integrated on to the steering wheel. And also it looks gorgeous on the Evo’s.

Excellent thread; thank you!

I guess logos fall into many categories, so I'll have to list out my favourites in multiple categories.

1. Logos that contain icons (and not just lettering) that are so simple and easy to remember, that you can draw them accurately from memory.

In this category my top three are, inevitably, the German trio, and a sole Japanese one:

The Renault logo is up there too, but it doesn't evoke much emotion to me (this is very personal and subjective).

2. Logos that use lettering and no separate iconography.

Here, my top three are:

Thought long and hard about Ford, and while it's an iconic logo, I'm personally not that fond of it, perhaps due to not having a connect with their cars except in admiration of Carol Shelby and Ken Miles, but I have Shelby covered, somewhat, further below.

3. Logos that employ complex or detailed graphics.

The prancing horse is definitely the first one that springs to mind:

Followed closely by this classic:

And this:

And this:

And this:

And borderline this:

If I could pick only one of all these, in terms of the emotion it evokes, the versatility and the iconic heritage, I'd pick the Ferrari.

Notable omissions:

Rolls Royce: although I love the Spirit of Ecstasy, that's more of a mascot and not the logo itself. The RR logo, while iconic, just doesn't have enough imagination for me.

Bentley: Too similar to Aston Martin and the bloated B just reminds me of how the backends of Bentleys actually are – too curvy everywhere (and unlike Porsches, in a not-so-nice way).

Lamborghini: Depicts a raging bull and most of their cars are named after famous bulls, and bullfighting is a sport I don't support, so that's that. On the merit of the design alone of course it does make the cut.

For me it's got to be the Koenigsegg

One of the rare brands which manage being exotic, do limited numbers and kill it with the designs all while not being priced exorbitantly. (I can only think of Pagani apart from this one but even they are a tad bit below koenigsegg)

As a matter of fact, up until recently, it was the only sports car brand wholly-owned by the brand name bearer and the logo, it is a shield based on the Koenigsegg family’s own coat of arms since the 12th century. Now that's some history in a logo.

Got to give it up for Christian Von Koenigsegg and his passion. The more you get to know about the guy, the more of a fan you become. In my opinion the only car brand owner next to Christian when it comes to passion is Mate Rimac. Wishing ton of success to both of them!

The corvette Stingray is up there with Alfa Romeo

I love the Lincoln logo. Looks extremely sophisticated.

The mark that is synonymous of hyper speed:

Although This is yet to become mainstream in India, I believe that this stands for a lot of things .

This is symbol that shows dreams and ambitions can come through. This thing has come though a market that is filled with makers with years of legacy and laurels. Yet, It came out on the top. I can bet a few years from now, this emblem will be coveted the most in the automobile world. It will be like how apple came out with the iPhone in a sea of Nokia's, Samsung's etc.

Nice thread. Saw this quick video on various car logos as a refresher and loved Alfa Romeo, Maybach, Cadillac, Porsche logos in no particular order.

The Rolls Royce is my favorite.

My personal favourite is McLaren. I loved how they carried over the ‘swoosh’ to the headlight designs in their cars too. Looks very neat. The second one would be the BMW M logo. Who could not like those iconic colours?

And then comes older Jaguar logoYour favorite car logo-images-6.jpeg

And then comes the Toyota ( not the smaller one, they are too boring) but full word written.. it reminds me my childhood wet dreams of back of Toyota pick-upsYour favorite car logo-images-8.jpeg

I somehow find rolls Royce logo too uninviting. (One of the many reasons I don't buy one: including that I can't afford it:D)

Really disappointed that no one was in love with the raging bull!
The logo's origin may be just a zodiac sign of Mr. Lamborghini, but this is the most powerful (in feeling) logo on any automobile.

This galloping stallion stirs up emotions in my heart that are hard to recreate. I get reminded of the euphoric feeling of that night when I first saw the Mustang with my eyes in the Ford showroom.
