I am looking for a storage service in Bangalore. If anyone has availed this service, can you please let me know the review. What to lookout for etc?

A google query is providing lots of results. Most reviewed seems to be https://www.safestorage.in/ and https://stownest.com/

One feature I am keen to know is, if once at the end of storage need, they will deliver it to a different state.

Try checking out APML (Agarwal Packers & Movers).
I have used their storage facility for storing all Household items for 1 year.

Service was satisfactory.

I went with Safestorage. Items are still stored. Mostly will be getting them back by end of Aug or the beginning of September.
I could not visit their facility as I moved out immediately out of the city as their truck left my place
I am extremely happy with their packing service. They do pack well. No asking for tips etc though I was ready to give.

Scheduling the service was a slight pain as they do have an online form that is bit too detailed at times.
For eg, you may not know how many carton boxes you need. Though much detailed, they don't have a category for puja room items that kind of foxed them when they came in.

Also, there is no edit option once you submit. You have to cancel the appointment and redo it again. They do promise the same slot for this, but an edit option would have been much easier.

They do disassemble cots etc as needed, but any electrical items like fan has to be removed by us. They won't do it.

Even I went with safestorage (early 2019). Rest of your comments are applicable for me as well:).

Is it still in storage or have you taken it back? I need it to be transported outside Karnataka. Hope they do it. When I had booked them what they told is they started the outside state transport very recently.

It is still in storage. I did not travel to Bangalore due to covid. I will go and take it back after my second dose of vaccination.

I wonder if safestorage will also do moving jobs of furniture?

Hi All, Just bumping this thread again. Anyone here who has taken back the items after storage? Just want to know how is the condition of the items when taking it back and do they assemble everything just like they disassembled. Safe storage seems to be the popular option here and I am planning to use their services next month for approximately 6 months.

What would be the approximate costs for storing furniture from my 3 BHK house in Bangalore?

Updates about retrieval:

I took the full items back. Since it was to be delivered outside Karnataka, they won't do it directly but they have tie-up with third-party vendors. In my case it was Jaari.

I was told when making the initial call that they will assemble the furniture back but Jaari just sent 2 people who had to move the whole lot. When safestorage came in to pack they had about 10+ people.

About the condition of items: Since they were packed excellently, almost all items except a vase and a Ganesha came back exactly the way they went in. These two items, unfortunately, were broken.
I have to make a note that except for this Ganesha, all the items from our puja room (there were a lot) were already packed carefully by us.

My understanding is that Safestorage manages the delivery of items themselves back within Bangalore.

About their high ratings in Google: Once I had made my initial request for retrieval, I got a mail from them asking for a 5-star review for which I will be given a cashback. So please read all the 5-star reviews with a pinch of salt. I have not rated them in Google yet. I was thinking of a 5-star initially but after this mail, I lost interest.

Thank you very much for this update. I am yet to finalize and this feedback is really useful to ensure that we take care of the packing ourselves for fragile items.

I just thought I would leave a review on "Safe Storage" on this page. I recently had the opportunity to keep something really valuable - elevator parts - very expensive items. Safe Storage, right from the start, were willing to explain everything in detail, how the products would be stored, safety measures etc : even before I became their customer. I urgently needed a warehouse ( less than a day to get my goods and store ) and they went all out to work things out.

I used their Hoodi warehouse ( adjoining their corporate office ). Place is well fumigated, no rats. No moisture. All perfect. I wanted to a locked room, but they convinced me really that I didn't need to spend the extra bucks as the common warehouse area was just as safe and monitored. I used the services for about 4 months and the products were delivered to my site safely at the chosen date.

The folks are really hardworking and go out to ensure your needs are met ( periodic checks or moving parts of the inventory etc ).Their loading/unloading/transport facility is also good; they organize forklifts and/or requisite people to do loading/unloading.

I would highly recommend their services if you ever need to store anything. 5 stars to Safe Storage.

The only thing I'm not sure of if the cost was a bit high. Since I don't have a reference point, I will refrain from commenting on it.
