Octavia crash near Ramanagara (Mysore Rd)

I think it is beyond the Octavia to negotiate that turn at 120+ kmph speeds. I know some people can but not everyone. It was a late reaction. A sober person could have judged the turn quite easily. But then we will never know.

I'm guessing he panicked. I think there was another vehicle at the intersection. Also this is the rider which means no ABS.

He's braked locked up as a result lost complete steering and gone straight on. had he not braked he would have understeered and run wide.

If someone can confirm is the place where the 2 speed bumps are the big ones between the 2 coffee days?

No, vidyuth, I think it is the entrance to the town, you can see the small road on the left which goes into the town and the highway byepass which turns right.

hey guys,
sorry to say this but the guy driving is my first cousin,
all the guys from hyd,
3 died, dont know about 1, but the only guy living i think is my cousin,
camt attend my other cousins office in banglore,
he heads a famous construction company in hyd,
the cars belongs to a actors son sadly, that guy died.
ride safe....

I have no idea what you're talking about, but all those involved were from Bangalore. The only guy that died was not an actor's son. And there are 3 survivors. None are guys. Get your facts straight. This is disgusting.

this is what happened to my friends safari when he slammed the brakes while trying to save a dog. Two tyres were off road and safari drifted and when was about to control the suv ,rear tyre got dismounted from alloy wheel and then suv was hit by a tree. all this happened at 140+. he was accompanied by his mom, dad and two sis. no one was injured.
after this i am shocked to see the condition of skoda.

ABS aint gonna help when his blood alcohol level was multiples X 10 of the permissible limit and doing 200 kmph on a sharp curve. That the chassis and the shell are supposed to have wanted to go their seperate ways wouldnt have also helped.

First the guy who died is your cousin,then you "think" the other guy "living" is your cousin! Look here my friend,most of us here knows the deceased and the other victims and his family well enough to read this nonsense.

From what it seems you are trying be "beraved" instead of the Family members! which is disgusting and spoils the decorum of this thread,please refrain from making such un-founded claims,atleast in front of people known to the victims.

The locking up part is true, I had this happen to me in a Zen when I was 16, and ended up crashing, no seat belts so have a fake tooth in my jaw and ever since I feel awkward if there are no seat belts in any car I drive.
I had a very uncomfortable drive in a Omni once which did not have belts and I was looking for one every 5 mins by default.

But then coming back to that locking up thingy, Recently I faced an even more dangerous situation than the previous accident I had and survived it cos I could drive better and control the car.

Now people can make arguments that Amudan was Inexperienced or whatever, but I have never tried to negotiate a corner on a highway at 120+ with alcohol in my blood, I don't even drive that fast If my reflexes are slow, so I can't suggest what really happened.

How many of us care to wear seatbelts ? I still remember the strain i had to take to compel my parents to wear seatbelts. It was on the eve of our first trip on our adventure. There was a heated argument for 10-20 minutes. My father threatened to get out of the car but finally succumbed to pressure. Anyhow after 100 kms he and my mom removed it telling that it suffocates them !

Even my sister took it off, only thing we can do is to impliment laws strictly. Police should heavily penalise those who violates.

so much not to rely on the TANK build of the octys, dont think they are built same like before. pics are really scary. more octis are going into 2 pieces and i thought NHC ws really really bad. i guess no car is safe afterall its just the humans that need to learn how to drive and when to in what condition.
