Hi Sridhar am glad you liked it. I listen to it very often am waiting for his next release sometime this year.

It's a pity that in general we don't promote Indian musicians who are equally if not more talented than those in the West. I guess it has a lot to do with market dynamics for record labels as well.

How many of you have legal music in your cars ?

How many of you buy cds instead of downloading them and then burning on to dvds ?

It would be better if you ask the mods to add a poll to this thread, will get better stats that way. Anyhow, I have about 10% legal music in the car.

I dont think anyone will admit their guilt publicly on this forum. Maybe an anonymous poll?

even then people still may not admit

There is one site for online downloads of Indian karaoke music in many languages including hindi.
Karaoke, Live Indian Karaoke Stream Bollywood Karaoke Music on Web Singalong with Unlimited Access
It has online membership payable by a credit card using Paypal.
I found this site excellent. The menu is listed and even non-members can surf through the menu and listen to any tune for 30 seconds as a demo.
One can become a member by paying a reasonable amount @ Rs 250 /- or so per month and download. The lyrics is also displayed for those who are not sure. This is quite good for those who sing and do not like to have instrumentalists along but only play a CD for the background music.

Flipkart selling Music- MP3

I just happened to see that FK has started selling music on its site and I bought a few english, hindi collections to checkout . Many are priced at just a 100 bucks. The bit rate available is up to 320kbps which should satisfy even a die hard audiophile. They are available as digital downloads once you buy them. The collection is still small but I'm sure they will increase it based on response.

I think this is good news and am happy to get good quality non pirated music for download. Is this the first time music is sold online in India?

Mods: Move this to appropriate thread if not suitable here.
