My son has a Kent Under the Counter unit in his Gurgaon flat. Since it had been plumbed in from day zero, the integration is good. There is also a line feeding the water chiller/icemaker in the refrigerator.

Replaced our PureIT Autofill with another PureIT Autofill after using it for 3.5 years.

Ironically I could not find a single other product which would have a sufficient storage and can automatically fill in water from the corporation supply which comes every alternate day.

I did not need RO and other fancy stuff.

Had to wait a few weeks for the buy back offer. Finally it came via an SMS. I promptly placed an order via phone and the device was at home the next day evening. The delivery person collected the old filter which had broken at a couple of places.

How good (or bad) are the gravity water filters ? Does it purify anything ?

Which RO filter is easy to maintain, among LG,Kent & Panasonic or any other brand from service prespective.
I have Eureka Forbes RO Smart and despite taking AMC its a pain as spares are not available, and service in Bangalore is bad, no way to escalate,

Most of these RO filters have generic purification stages and modules. In Bangalore there are multiple people offering these service.

We depend on this guy Rajesh (99 0101 1990) he services KR Puram area, do reach out to him and check if he will deliver to your place as well. We too faced issues with Eureka Forbes AMC and that is when we moved over to him.

For the past 2 visits he has been prompt.

Sorry, I must've missed the discussion about this, but what is the purpose of UV when you have RO technology?
Just as a backup?
Similarly what about microfilter?

I see so many water purifiers that market themselves as RO+UV+MF - I don't see any point in the second and third terms if the first one is working.

We have a PureIt RO unit from HUL, and service has been extremely good the 2.5 years we have had it in South Bangalore.

As the RO membrane has very fine pores, so the water must be cleaned up, before being send there. UV (or Iodine in ZeroB) is used for purification / sterilisation.

RO and MF are effective in removing bacteria in varying degrees but not 100%. This is also due to leaks from the O rings in the filters itself. Hence, UV is required for the final killing of remaining bacteria.

RO pores are so minute that every suspended particle gets blocked including essential minerals. So a parallel water path is made by MF to include these minerals. Then both these paths are fed through a TDS controller to UV to kill bacteria. This is how Mineral RO Kent works.

Fabiaous, I'm also looking for water filter. Need to have very good Customer Service. Have you zeroed on something?

Bought an AO Smith geyser recently and I am impressed by their service in Bangalore and 7-year warranty on the model I bought. They make water purifiers with RO and I think most of them also have a hot/warm-water function.

I am on Kent UV right now, but my gripe is that my service center only sends someone the next day in case something breaks down. The UV chamber is steel which heats up if you leave it on and the pipes are all plastic which causes them to break. I had to replace a pipe and a power adapter this year. Both times we had to take the risk of drinking regular tap water for a day. Kent is otherwise good.

Eureka Forbes started off as a direct marketing company and at one time used to have scores of sales executives scouring localities to mostly sell vacuum cleaners. Their products were substandard back then and may be even more so today.

Been using zero b RO for the past 7yrs. satisfied, AMC is a must. the service in our area is very good.

I was using Bisleri water cans for so many years and off late the delivery guy is getting on my nerves.:Frustrati

Thanks for the quick reply "nowwhat?". AO Smith "Warm water" function is a nice touch. The warranty is 2 years on Water Filters.
Does anyone have great/bitter experiences with AO "Water Filters"? I've heard good reviews about AO geyser though.:thumbs up

AMC is 4k/year, just call these guys when you have any issues and they will attend to it within 48hrs. no headaches. but service team is the most important aspect, it could differ in different places. if someone from your area vouches for it, would be better.
