Now you get it. I did not have a budget becuase I wanted to seee what the options were. I knew of teh 515 but I dont know if one is available.

Meanwhile some birdy either PMed or told Sam and now he has gone and ordered a 755.6 for me. arrival in 2 weeks.

And I am paying for it or he can eat it.

B&T do you have the GZ in stock? I would like to compare it to the JBL in the same setup. It would just mean removing one amp and dropping in the other.

True but for this application even 30 x 4 + 150W x 1 is adequate. The 515 is a class D machine though and while this is fine for subs I still am to accept class D for fullrange.

B&T the GZ amp you mentioned, is it Class D? If so then a compare with the JBL amp Sam's getting would be really interesting.

Thanks for the info though LBM. it is nice to be reminded about the 515 (I had forgoetten about it).

If the JBL amp does not arrive my other options would be the Srx5 @ 31.6K or
GZ RA 5100 = 24.5K.

I have two 5 channel amps, one that I posted before, other is also from GZ but 4 x 85/ 125 (4/ 2 ohms) + 1 x 250/ 400 (@ 4/ 2 ohms), so more power.

It is not Class D or hybrid, pure Class AB.

Ok so thent he only Class D 5 ch. amp is the Pio 515. I really would like to know what compromise (if any) Class D offers. I have never used Class D for fullrange and without using it (although I have my trepidations) I will not rubbish anything. Not even Dapic etc.
