I trust Japanese and Korean bulbs. Indian bulbs are getting there, another 5-10 years maybe. If I own a large mansion, maybe I will consider a European bulb. Something brash, yellow (or blue), with a bull on it. Shines bright, looks good.

I would love to buy one of these Italian bulbs with a prancing horse logo on the bulb. But for that money I can buy 4 japanese bulbs and for more shine from the existing filament by adding aftermarket stuff.
American bulbs are only good for couple of years, very much adapted to their use and throw nature
Indian bulbs are not much reliable, they need their filament to be repaired many a times during their life.

Oh, I guess you have never heard of the German bulbs which were so over-engineered that they never failed. Then the designers started adding electronic circuits to the bulbs in order that you just had to think and they would come on - sadly too much electronics caused many of them to conk off.
