English tranalation of a Kannada message doing rounds on whatsapp referring to ISRO's latest feat.

We Indians are experts in utilising space to its fullest. We go double on bicycles, triple on bikes, seat 5+1 in autos, cram at least 6 in a car and can accommodate 10 in an Omni. No wonder ISRO launched 104 satellites in a single rocket.

P.S. The 'h' part is not meant to hurt anyone, its just my observation.

Adding 'h' is, probably, to tame the phonetic sound of the alphabet.

Chapati is speller thi to make it not sound like chaparral. Same with Deepthi etc...

This kind of spelling is prevalent in AP and TN.

Re: The Official Joke thread

And whats the reason behind removing 'h' where its required for e.g. Bhaskar is spelled as Baskar or Venkateshwara becomes Venkateswara.

Venkateswara is the right spelling going by Telugu alphabet. The s in swara is the second sa (శ )in Telugu. It is spoken softly. There is a third sa (ష )which has a harsher sound which corresponds to shwara. Even with Sri or Shree is same case. Southern states speak and spell it as Sri or Sree. Others speak and spell as Shri or Shree.

As for Baskar for Bhaskar, it is probably Tamil doesn't have the consonant BHA or conjunct consonants in its alphabet.

Please take note that I am a layman who doesn't have a command over my mother tongue - telugu- let alone Tamil which I don't understand. The inferences made are by reading since years Tamil Nadu based English news paper.

In my previous post, it should have been chapatee, auto correct ruined it. Also, it should have been ' spelled', not speller.
