I figured out the name, but just thought its damn hilarious!

Has anyone here seen 'Memento' - the movie that inspired 'Ghajini' ?

One heck of a movie, I say. You have to watch it at home, with full concentration otherwise you wouldn't understand a bit of it.

yep i posted about that a while ago - very well done movie :)

Watched "Cocktail" yesterday night on Zee Studio.

Nice chilled out movie. I would give it a 2.5/5. The bartending scenes are too good. :D

What are the reviews of Ghajini ?? Gautam, dekhi ya nahin ?

Today we had the preview shows of Ghajini in Adlabs, but could not go. Will go on Friday now. Dying to see it.

Ghajini - very intense Aamir just sucks u in with his "once in a year performance", Movie is very violent, or rather very raw action. Aamir plays the owner of a huge telecom company, and Asin is on the other extreme, she has a scene wherein she makes Aamir feel like a pauper. Superb touch. The relationship is very beautifully brought. Great movie , for the raw violence, please dont tag kids along.

Ghajini
Frankly, I had no great expectations from the movie. I assumed it to be the usual 'run-of-the-mill' stuff, packaged differently. But after watching it, i was blown away. Its a terrific fast paced action thriller, with some amazing romantic and comic sequences. Aamir as usual is tremendous. Probabably the best act of his career till date. He has put 'Sunny Deol' to shame with his masterstroke punches. Asin looks pretty and makes an impressive bollywood debut. Jiah is a complete reversal of her role from Nishabdh. Simply dressed, girl next door act.
The only drawbacks are:
1) The runtime is 3 hours 10 mins.
2) The songs hamper the otherwise fast-paced narrative. Chop the songs, and you save about 15 odd mins.
3) They could've certainly got a better actor to play the villians role.
Nevertheless, this is one movie that can't be missed. A perfect end to the otherwise lacklustre year for bollywood.

Rating: 4/5

saw ghajini last night. it was as if there are two movies in one . the one before the murder and other after the murder. both parts have been nicely woven together.
the before murder story is romantic and light hearted with amir looking handsome and asin beautiful .both have acted well (being a aamir fan i always like his acting).
the second story after the murder is more dark and violent .the second part has some loud sound effects ( maybe it was the theatre's acoustics or whatever )which seemed very loud and harsh and some unnecessary sudden zoom or panning shots . the movie is fast paced never a dull moment . the last action sequence where aamir is shown bashing the baddies is very raw and i would have liked that action more in this film . the killing of the girl and the villian are very violent .i don't think i remember seeing such a violent (in as raw violence) hindi movie in recent times.
aamir has done justice to both parts
asin is beautiful and has acted well
very satisfactory viewing.
go enjoy!

p.s. better i right it fast or least i forget the story in 15 min lol:

Haven't watched Ghajini yet - can't seem to be able to book online for friday for PVR @ Goregaon.

I have been hearing wildly contradicting reviews of the movie.

Apparently, few scenes have been censored from the film to give it a U rating.
One is the first fight scene with the tap (that i'd posted earlier) and another is Asin's death.
But, why does it sound like they haven't censored it?

I saw Napoleon Dynamite yesterday. It was weird and funny.

from the trailer i could tell that gajini is a copy of memento. and i was surprised to hear that some Tamil producer of tamil version of gajini moved the court to stop gajini from releasing in TN. am i missing something here?

Watched Ghajini today. Movie is intense. Aamir brilliant. Asin ok kinds. Length from 3 hour 10 min could be reduced to 2.30 by cutting useless songs and few scenes. Direction shoddy at places. Raw and nice action. Villain sucks.

Overall good one time watch. Loved Aamir's physique.
Rating - 4/5 (this is actually a 'hate me all or love me all' kinda movie)
