Well, I have watched a lot of Malayalam comedies & liked most of them.
But there is a lot of slapstick in Malayalam comedies also. A typical
dialogue intensive Malayalam comedy has lots of slapstick too.
But yeah, Malayalam comedies are really good. And Mohanlal is probably
one of the best actors ever.

Were you on a suicide mission mission or something?! Why else would you knowingly want to get yourself killed?

And regarding the debate about Aamir and SRK. One plays to his senses, while the other plays to the masses. Each one is equally successful in his own right.

SRK took on the gamble of playing offbeat non-hero roles, and has come a long way now. Now, he enjoys playing the commercial hero and mints money big time. Why change, then? After all, if thats what people want to see.

JFYI, i totally hated RNBDJ, while i adore DDLJ.

I Second that.

For that matter even Ghajini in Tamil was much better than the Hindi remake.

Teja, Raabert, Bhalla, Amar Prem and of course Crime Master Gogo. Not one dull moment in AAA.
One of my All time favs.
It flopped cos i guess there werent too many multiplexes that time. But its damn hilarious no matter how many time you see it. In fact i heard few weeks back that Priyadarshan is thinking of making a sequel with Aamir and Salman for this. But can the magic be created again, i guess not because at that time these two were not as big stars as today and acted freely (without ego clashes).

Ram Jaane is based on 1938 classic Angels with Dirty Faces.
It was one of the last movies of SRK where he plays an anti-hero. After this he turned into a girly hero .
SRK puts up a very convincing performance. It was the 8th highest grossing Hindi movie of 1995 .

Nothing surprising considering the protagonist's background.

Haha! Good one, Eddy!

Between, Yes Boss was a good one from him. I quite liked the movie, although quite predictable, and unoriginal.

I will add Devdas to the list as well. He gave an honest effort in portraying the character. For me Jackie stole the show as Chunnilal but Shahrukhs acting was also good in it. DDLJ for me remains the all time fav.

In my humble opinion, Devdas was a ridiculously bad, loud and gaudily picturised movie. Shahrukh was bad. But J for Jackie was worse.
Madhuri was probably the only saving grace of the movie.
The movie was sheer torture.

Sadly, I saw Devdas on the big screen. I was forced to go by my wife - she
also doesn't like Shahrukh, but the movies trailer fooled her.

Oh boy! don't you really despise SRK? Well, i am also in a similar boat but i haven't gone too far as you though.

Since last few years, can practically see him oozing king khan (overconfidence, attitude, fake smile etc) from every pore of his body and that kind of puts me off

Till date, the only SRK movie i loved practically was Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na. Also, i read somewhere, where SRK mentioned it happens also to be his most memorable and favorite movie that he ever acted in.

Talking of SRK, I would avoid all movies post-KKHH, except CDI.
