This role will change him to a more serious actor, although currently he is doing very well. One of my favourite actors. Also close to the Bachhans.
You seem to be damn sure it's gonna be RiteshD. Somehow, can't digest the fact that ABJunior ain't gonna be in S3.

Saw summer of 2007.
4/5 Simply amazing! This movie will definitely get a national award, but I think it will not click at the box office.
First half goes slow, and is mostly used for character building, its in the second half which is edge of the seat!
A must watch, better than Sarkar raj type thingies any day.
Infact, better than Aamir!

I had an idea of the storyline, but didnt expect it to get a review like you have posted. Its pretty realistic I heard. How are the perfomances like?

Surprisingly good, esp from Kher, I never expected that he could carry off such a powerful role.

Saw last evening " Mere Bhap, Phele Aap" and i must confess, i was completely taken aback by the movie. I loved the movie completely and after a long time i laughed so hard.

The first 1 hour is a hilarious rib-tickler and then abruptly the story veers towards elderly romance and then finally emotional in the end. But, terrific movie-making.

Performances: Nobody else could have done it as good as Akshay Khanna, his was the best performance. Genelia was bubbly and acted quite well. paresh again gave a superb performance, Om Puri was kind of adequate. rajpal yadav was wasted. Shah awesome in a teensy weensy role

Special mention for Archana puran singh, she was hilarious and used some choicest language in this movie.

I would say, don't miss this movie, 4/5*

OT: Just like to see who noticed. Om puri is shown drinking at his dining table. Which whisky is he enjoying?

MBPA: I walked off after half time. Did not like the movie at all. Did not find it funny; in fact not even close. And the leading lady had such pathetic dialogue delivery and fake accent. Irritating. And what the hell has happened to Om Puri ? He must be in real financial mess to be doing all this crap.

But at the same time, I must admit there were people in the theater laughing and enjoying it too. So to each his own.

My rating: 0.5/5

Priyadarshans movies are supposed to be rib-ticklers.. but are all southie rip-offs.

I hope this thread isnt just for Indi movies.

I am regular movie buff with about 650 gbs of movies n tv series.. And would like you to know of some good recent movies

After The Kingdom and Rendition(2007) the very recent hits like Iron man have done quite well.. and good story even though it was from the animated version..

Watched My Moms New Boyfriend *ing Antonio Banderas and Meg Ryan.

Good film, cant be called wonderful kind of ok-ok sorts.. Meg Ryan seems to have lost her young looks.... she certainly looks old and wrinkled but a well maintained body
Antonio is his usualstyle and charm.

Charlie Wilsons War :starring Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts is also a good watch about political drama. How America discretely played a hand in supporting afghans against the russian might.

21 - starring Kevin Spacey Lawrence Fishburne which is in theatres already is good too about 6 MIT kids counting cards and making money out of Las Vegas Casinos.

Street Kings- Starring Keanu Reeves Forest Whitaker has good acting by both these stars and good story too.

Watched Sarkar Raj last this week .was good pretty catchy and well continued from its previous avatar but the end seemed a bit stretched up.. Was desperately waiting for Amitabh to get over with is dialogue at the end( other reason could be coz it was a late night show)

Aamir is a waste of time. What the message was is completely botched up. They could have given such a beautiful message but it was completely lost in the running around of the main character.

Oh my god what a waste of money,we had booked 14 tickets at Infinity Versova red lounge for Sarkar Raj.Was on the verge of dozing off half way through the movie on those comfy reclining seats, only the the sudden and loud background music kept me awake.
The best part of the movie Aishwarya saying " ek chai lao " at the end

And maybe Sarkar 3 will start with the dialogue " Cheeni kitni lengi Madam?" to which Aish will reply "Cheeni Kum"

Yes, apparently 2 weeks after the world-wide release in Tamil and Telungu. Saw it on the day of release in Chennai. It was entertaining and worth the watch.

The Happening

Is M Night Shyamalan turning senile or what? A brilliant concept for a movie which got totally wasted due to a poor storyline/screenplay. Whats worse, the otherwise potential thriller failed to induce any real chill or fear in the audience. Not amongst the best of M Night.

Rating 3/10
