Just got the sad news that KartikeyaL DBhpian and enthusiast whose full name was Mr Kartikeya Lunia passed away today. He had suffered a stroke in July 2021 and was in a coma since then. Based in Jaipur, he was always cheerful, enthusiastic and passionate. He was also a Facebook friend of mine.

A picture of his prized possession

A true blue automobile and automobile history lover, his posts always had the depth and would be very educative. He used to do a lot of research to find out rare and never seen old images, in most cases from the archives with his own matching text.

His passing away is an irreparable loss for the vintage automobile community. We will miss him very much.

Our prayers for solace to all his near and dear ones, who have been deprived of their loved and young family member.

Deeply saddening news. An avid enthusiast and a wonderful contributor to the vintage car section, specially the extensive coverage of the Jaipur Annual Vintage and Classic Car Rally, year on year.

Very sad to hear... Just last year he had proudly celebrated his 10th year as BHPian.

I had heard of his illness, and was hoping he will be able to bounce back. My condolences to the family.
