How is this even possible? Sub total is wrong and final total is wrong, this time at McD :Shockked:

That’s a difference of ₹488, which didn’t make sense.

I raised this with the staff, and after a bit of back-and-forth, they casually mentioned that the amount includes a service charge. But here’s the issue: there was no mention of any service charge anywhere on the bill. Not as a line item, not in the summary, nothing.

When I asked why it wasn’t shown, the response was:

“This is a proforma bill, and in proforma bills, service charge is not mentioned separately.”

As many have commented on the LinkedIn post. This is outright cheating. They are supposed to give a proper Tax Invoice, not proforma invoice, with a proper GSTIN. Not only are they overcharging, they are likely cheating the govt by not passing on the collected GST.
