Just received a call from ICICI bank telemarketer asking me whether i needed a credit card. I told him about this news and asked him what is your opinion of this? You wont believe the reply he gave. He said coolly "Sir, these things happen, what can we do? it is your duty to pay up"
I was so angry i gave him piece of my mind and blasted him. what the hell do they think of themselves?

Which means they do agree they are responsible.

Navdeep, wifey being lazy as she is, wouldnt even bother to change anything. A simple Ctrl C+ Ctrl V job sufficed.

Is it legal for the bank to hire 3rd party company to recover the loan amount?? Regardless of the compensation amount, somebody high up from ICICI bank need to spend some time in jail. Then this practice of hiring 3rd party agents will stop.

Pathetic !! Torturing and taking one's life is no way of claiming dues .
Is the law sleeping ? Wake up clowns and do something.

OT : Wonder what the gov' would do about this. Guess the clowns are busy making speed limits for highways.

I do wonder, as to why so many of us fall prey to the tactic of the sales agents of these banks, when they say "Sir this will be done in 5 mins. Please sign in the crossed places sir. That will be all. We will send you the cheque in 2 days".

We never read the fine print. The devil is in the details. Any thing that comes easy is not good especially if it is money.

It is hight time the govt of India did some thing about such banks.

Regards,

lsjey

ICICI is @ its worse and there was a thread today in our office alias where it was stated that they will be charging a yearly fee for all salaried accounts for the usage of debit cards etc from July1st....i dont know how authenticated is that info but in our company alias many confirmed that "S" its a fact and they will be charging .....and many say its a RBI rule and they are jus implementing....it was a sad sate of affairs that such atrocities remain un noticed without any proper actions.
