The Night Of = 3.5 stars

Started off well, but could have been wrapped up in less than 8 episodes. Good one time watch nevertheless.

Not sure which one to start now !

Edit: Will start Thirteen most likely.

Finished Narcos (2 seasons) a few weeks ago.

Phenomenal acting, good narration and all-round great show. Must not miss! I'd rate it 4.5/5.

Can't wait for Season 3.

Finished with Jessica Jones. Felt it was weak compared to Daredevil and Luke Cage. High hopes for Iron Fist

Oh wow Luke Cage's series is out already! Awesome. Will catch up.

I'd rate them as, Daredevil S1> S2 > Jessica Jones.

Currently watching Narcos S2 and The Walking Dead S7 which is looking like a borefest!

Yes, Luke Cage came out sometime back. Pretty decent. Would rate it below Daredevil still.

He keeps reminding me of Arnold. The way he acts, the mannerisms

Tried something different that the usual genre I watch:

1) Night Manager: Hugh Laurie, Tom Hiddleston.
Your typical drama-suspense thriller. It being a miniseries, things move quickly but at the same time, some parts can be repetitive and predictable.
But definitely worth a watch. Of course, if you have been a fan of Dr. House, you will be disappointed with Laurie's accent.

2) The Crown: based on the life, especially the youth and period just around the coronation of Queen Elizabeth.
Just started watching this, interesting if you enjoy some amount of history and politics.

I know! Some parts seemed put in just as fillers or to drive home the point.

Funny how they have played the stereotypes: the protagonist is a young Muslim guy living in the suburbs of NY whose father drives a taxi, inmate running the drug show is black, hero lawyer is underrated, ''broken'', not one with a fancy lifestyle.

On a lighter side, I've quite enjoyed watching Casual and You're the Worst. Both of them are comedies that touch upon the dysfunctional romantic/sex lives of young adults.

The genres that I like are comedy, crime, law, politics, history, spy & Super heroes. I really appreciate the simultaneous or 12 hour delayed broadcast by Indian channels of the new episodes that are premiered in US. Really has saved the hassle of watching online & put my Tata Sky HD + recording box to good use.

Couldn't agree more, absolutely wonderful series. Never a dull moment. Their behind the scene videos were equally interesting.

A friend had shared TVF's latest series Tripling episode, Tata Tiago sponsors it, that was how I was introduced to this group.
YouTube suggested 'Permanent Roommates' and I binge watched it over the weekend.

Some of the episodes from Season 2 are not available on YouTube, you can watch them on the TVFplay website.

Edit: MidDay says
Quote:
Since the first season, which was uploaded in 2014, the show has become the second largest watched web series in the world on YouTube, with each episode bagging more than a million views.
Really?

I made that mistake and now, I'm paying the price for it.

C'mon producers of Narcos! Put us out of this misery!

Haven't watched Narcos but remember the break between the two halves of Breaking Bad Season 5? That was the longest year ever!

Very choosy in watching any series. In 2013 & 14 started watching White Collar, Newsroom, & Suits. Completely bored of Suits and White Collar by Season 6 and stopped watching.

In 2015 briefly saw Arrow but after 3 seasons got bored.

Last month read multiple series reviews and picked up Castle Season 1 for testing. Liked what I saw and now a month later on final Season 8, expect to finish the series in a weeks time.

What is the deal with Sherlock Season 4? Is it really happening or not? I am a huge fan of the series and Benedict too.

Recently, during my US trip, I watched few episodes of Big Bang Theory and I am happy that the writers are still managing to keep the comedy tempo up. Well not as much as the first 3 seasons, but it is still good.

In comparison, I watched the Two Broke Girls and I found the comedy level very poor. Most of the humor was made up desperately (slapstick kind). Best humor is that which flows through the script IMO.
