I was actually disappointed with Sherlock's new episode, including the ending. Can't elaborate more without giving away spoilers, but I feel only the first 2 seasons were really good.

Agree. The twists and turns that were endearing are now getting bizarre and ironically rather predictable. While the canonical references are still enjoyable for a Conan Doyle fan, the writers are pushing it now. Time to lay it to rest I think!

Whoa! I read the Dirk Gently books after finishing Hitch Hiker's Guide... and really loved them. Will add this to watchlist (though must confess that I haven't been impressed by TV/film versions of Hitch Hiker's Guide). Thanks for the tip!

I didn't know that Prison Break was coming back. Season 5 starts very soon, and you'll be surprised to see who is back

Bones, Castle, White Collar, and Suits currently watching

Castle is good because of chemistry between lead couple.

Finished season 4 of Sherlock. Very, very different from the earlier seasons - almost felt like a completely different genre.

I enjoyed it, much better than season 3.

I hope they start fresh as in S1/2. Honestly, the last season was painful. The teasers on FB are quite good though.

Last ship is good for the first season, and for Rhona Mitra only.
It kinda loses touch later on.
If you liked it, try out revolution.

Watching "This is Us" on Hotstar premium and season 1 seems to be a pretty decent one .

Goliath on Amazon prime and sense 8 on netflix are worth a dekko.

Sense 8 is an interesting concept but seems a little stretched in the first few episodes. The effort they have put in to make it look really international is laudable.

Started watching House of Lies on my Amazon Prime Video membership. I really like Don Cheadle and his portrayal of a management consultant is pretty spot-on. The scenarios displayed in the series are pretty exaggerated but it's intelligently written and quite enjoyable. Those who miss B-school will like this.

Re: Amazon Prime?

Are there any good mystery/thriller series on amazon prime?

I was NOT impressed with 'Goliath' or 'Sneaky Pete'.

Started watching this when it came out. Incidentally, was in b-school then

The first couple of seasons were a lot of fun; tapered out tamely later.

Oh, and this is a strictly 18+ show. Tremendous adult graphic and audio content.

re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

While scanning for shows on Netflix, i noticed the show with the title RiverDale.
For few seconds i was wondering why it sounds so familiar. Then it hit me, Archies.
Al though this show has all the characters of your favorite Archies comic its not your "comic book" version, Like a reviewer mentioned on IMDB - it is more like Twin Peaks meets Archies.
Saw two episodes and it looks promising.

Another show which is nicely done in my view is Lethal Weapon on Amazon Prime/Zee CafeHD
