re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

We've been watching the comedy series 'Fresh off the boat'.
Clean, good fun. Season 1 was good, but slightly less in Season 2.

Story revolves around a Chinese origin family and their experiences with life in America.

Been watching "Sneaky Pete" on Amazon Prime.

Amazing season 1. Great story, lineup & production. Reminds a bit of Ocean's series! A must watch.

Few shows I've been watching recently
- Black Mirror
- Westworld
- Night Manager
All 3 are very unique in their own ways, particularly the first two.
Also finished American Crime Story S1, watched with my dad and really enjoyed it. The actors are excellent particularly the ones who play O.J. and Johnnie Cochran. However accordingly to recent news due to some delays, the S2 is quite far away.

I am probably the biggest fan of Sherlock and i can say that Sherlock series is more about Sherlock than the actual crime. Cumberbatch hogs all the credits unintentionally. The only exceptions would be Episode 2 of Season 1 and the Abominable Bride.

Otherwise most other stories revolve around Moriarty, Irene or Mycroft.

1. Breaking Bad definitely, its not purely crime. Its quite an unique series in terms of unpredictability, will be a slow starter like GoT. We are on S5E1 hoping to finish off in a week.
2. True Detective Season 1

You can add both seasons of Fargo to the list as well.

For those that are OK with lots of Gory and dramatic scenes, don't miss out Hemlock Grove. I am on season 3 (the last one) on Netflix UK. Its technically in the Horror Genre. Stirclty 18+ and please don't watch it during meal times.

Another series that I particularly enjoyed (especially for the twists and its easy on the eyes Protagonist) was the Bates Motel, again on Netflix UK. I believe this was inspired by the Alfred Hitchcock movie 'Psycho'.

Oh and I loved Narcos. Beautiful narration, characters all do extreme justice to their roles and for the way the storyline speeds up and slows down on a regular basis. I have also done full justice to my £8 pm subscription fee by gobbling down almost all of the highly rated shows.

Any other suggestions from BHPians? As I said before, suggestions other than the highly rated/watched series are most welcome.

Just a friendly heads-up - The Walking Dead S7 has resumed since last Sunday. In case, someone's still following the series like me.

Personally i loved stranger things a lot. The show transports you to the innocent 80s. Every episode ends with a suspense and insanely good acting by the child actors.

Long wait till Halloween for season 2.

White Collar - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1358522/

I was expecting this to be in the "Dexter" mode, but it was more of "Castle" mode. Found it a little too frivolous and stopped after watching 3 episodes of season 1.

Starting with Hemlock Grove, lets see .

The Walking Dead is a weekly watch now, and the remaining episodes of this season look promising.
