Watch at least first full season. The main story splits into few small stories and all go in parallel. It's lot of fun once you are familiar with all the characters and houses. 1st season is mostly building up all these and introductions, so it's kinda slow.

My current and recommend series:

Sarabhai vs Sarabhai: In my opinion the best Hindi Tele series ever made. No doubt

How I Met Your Mother: It was superb initially, dragged a bit during the fag end but it's back with the bang. The last season was fantastic and you just can't ignore Barney Stinson.

White Collar: Was pretty good for the first 2 season but they lost the plot midway. It looks to be back in Season 5.

Big Bang Theory: They have Raj, Howard, Penny, Leonard and the mighty Sheldon for god sake. What else do you need?

Prison Break: One of the most engaging tv drama I have ever seen, Period.

Fringe: J J Abrams creation. Was brilliant till season 3, lost it later on.

The Mentalist: Simon Baker is brilliant and so is the creator Bruno Heller. Excellent series.

Arrow: Nice start to an interesting series. Like the way story has been depicted.

Suits: Again, was going good till season 2 Office politics spoilt it.

Da Vinci Demons: Nice and interesting watch. Brilliant work by actor Tom Riley.

Breaking Bad: Bryan Cranston rocks. The show belongs to that guy.

I don't know whether anyone has ever seen this but
Terra nova: Steven Spielberg creation. I loved it, story was brilliant, cast was great and had good ratings too. But fox got stingy and didn't support it.

Re: Television shows: What do you watch?

I currently watch.
1. Dora the Explorer.
2. Go Diego Go.
3. Doremon.
4. Tom and Jerry.
5. Horrid Henry (personally prefer this).

When you realize I have a 2 and a half year old daughter, you will understand.

When I get the rare free time, I like to watch CSI. I like all of them except that Naval one.

I also like to watch cookery shows on travel and living, tlc etc.

Re: Television shows: What do you watch?

This weeks breaking bad was truly rocking. One of the most explosive episodes!
But this fall is going to see the end of two of my favorite shows, Dexter and Breaking bad. Luckily homeland returns.

+1. I started watching TV series with Dexter. I accidentally watched one episode and there was no turning back. Breaking Bad and Homeland are the other 2 series which keeps you edge of the seat. One of the episodes of 3rd season of homeland has been leaked and it is all over the net.

Saw a lot of advertising for a new channel - Star World HD Premiere. Launching on Sept. 24th apparently. Anyone know if this will be available on Tata Sky?

Yes, it is.
After so many not coming on Tata, I'm glad at least this is!

Sean Bean, who plays Lord Stark, is quite a famous Hollywood actor. Mostly character rules but has starred in a couple of flicks too.

That's the fun, isn't it. You go with a clean slate and make stars out of characters. I'm a big fan of Tyrion Lannister and Arya Stark now. Their wallpapers are on my laptop right now .

I am eagerly looking forward to the launch of Star World Premiere and Homeland S3 though I shudder at the thought of Revenge S3.

It really was. Brilliant series.

Homeland s03e01 was leaked last week, saw it. Should be a good season.

Boardwalk Empire Season 4 has started, again seems to be promising like the earlier seasons.

Re: Television shows: What do you watch?

Newsroom, and reruns of old classics.
Yes Minister and such.
Also checking out House of Cards, which is also a BBC Remake, but it has Kevin spacey so should be interesting.
I think overall television has taken a massive hit in terms of intelligent scripts and writing over the years, which makes it hard to watch a fair bit of what's airing today.
Am always up for suggestions though.

PS: Akshay, I did watch season 1 of homeland, because it had Claire Danes, Damian Lewis and Mandy Patinkin, all of whom are superb actors, but it lost momentum for me by the end of the season, several plot devices were extremely convenient and contrived it seemed.
Damian Lewis acted in a show called Life, worth watching if you are inclined towards downloading or watching online.

Breaking Bad's latest episode has been hailed by critics as probably one of the greatest episodes in TV history . It was that good.

Personally feel that leaving an episode on such a cliffhanger should be made a crime

White Collar S5 will also begin airing in October.

Also, anyone knows when Sherlock S3 will return?

They have started showing the trailers, but exact date is not known. I guess it should be sometime in october, maybe around the 15th or so.

Breaking bad get only gets better and better! What a series! :O
And, there's a news that there is going to be a new show based on the Saul goodman character in breaking bad! The show will be named Better Call Saul! It will be written by Vince Gilligan!
They'll start to roll once Breaking bad ends!
