Watching Wayward Pines Season 1. Great Mysterious stuff out there.
Also The Last Ship Season 1. Slightly amateurish, but good cinematography and end of the world concept.

Finished it up, was an ok series, they are dragging now with some interesting bit in between.

Next up are following series which are a little old but came highly recommended

Foyle's War - This is crime mystery based during WW2, watched pilot & liked it. Typical British series with each episode being almost 2 hours long(well 1:37 to be precise but you get the drift). It can be little slow at times but that's to build out the characters & plot.

Prison Break - I can not believe how many people have recommended this series to me, so have finally picked it up, Pilot episode was very interesting and I am glued now

HBO has pulled the plug on Banshee (link); ends with an 8 episode season 4. :(

Good I say, instead of dragging it forever. Hope the last season will be a memorable one with loads of action, blood and gore!

The first season is kickass! It was a marathon during my grad days. And it takes a leap down thereafter.

Two new series:

1. Mr. Robot : Nerd drama with psycho overtones. Its about a full-on IT geek, who's drawn into a group(?) of hackers with a plan to shakedown the world, basically. While he deals with his own loner issues. Thats the best I can put it.
Very engaging watch.

2. Stitchers : The premise is that a person's conciousness/memories/mind stays alive for some time after death, and how it can tapped to solve crimes etc.
First episode down, and was worthy of getting the next few.

Yes! Mr. Robot is brilliant. How many episodes have you seen? I just saw episode 6, the ending is shocking to say the least!

Other shows I watch:
-Shameless (US version) - simply amazing, Emmy Rossum should win an Emmy for this!
-Wayward Pines
-Bloodline
-Sense8
-The Returned
-Longmire
-Better Call Saul
-Halt and Catch Fire
-The Walking Dead
-Rectify
-Justified (this series has ended, finished in April)
-The 100
-Daredevil

Looking forward to Fear the Walking Dead, should be good.

re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Anyone watching HUMANS? It is one of the most gripping series going on right now with just one episode to go to the season finale.

Just to fill some time, I have also started watching Lost. I wonder how long I will be able to continue watching it though. Some of the plot holes are becoming somewhat glaring.

Binge planned for today, from episode 4 onwards.
I've also got sense8. Is it any good?

Otherwise catching up on the new season of The last ship, and The strain.

I also tried watching Ballers, with The Rock. But its a little bit extreme as far as nudity goes.

Has anybody been watching 'masters of sex'?

It is a period drama set in the 1950's America(based on life of a Dr. Williams Masters).

Really interesting series, and great acting as well.

Started it's 3rd season last month. Give it a try.

Sesne8 is ok, at times it is a bit weird though. I only started watching it because it was being heavily advertised by Netflix.
Its about a group of 8 people all over the world who can see/feel each other and they are being hunted down by a group which is threatened by their powers.

From IMDb: "A group of people around the world are suddenly linked mentally, and must find a way to survive being hunted by those who see them as a threat to the world's order."

Happy Valley

This is a one season mini-series (6 episodes), on the lines of Fargo. It's a tad slow and predictable.

I don't know why its rated so high on IMDB - 8.5 . You can avoid it without missing much.

Halfway through Season 1 and find it very good indeed. The characters are well sketched out and the storyline is riveting. It's set around the same period of post-WW1 England that Downton Abbey was, so the difference between upper-class gentility there and coarse criminality here is quite striking.

Anybody watching True Detective Season 2? Suprised nobody is talking about it?

I am waiting for it to get over so that I can watch it in one go

Finished 2 seasons of Prison Break & started 3rd primarily because i don't have any other series to pick.

Also watched on Netflix a History Channel series America - The Story of Us pretty interesting.
