Agree, the series is not for minors with all the abusive language thrown around. But barring that, if a nine year old can get the movie about stock markets, then there is a financial guru in the making for sure !

I have read that it was a 4 part series with Satyam/Raju being the 4th. The 4th part is already shot, but Raju got a stay order from the court. Netflix did not want to delay the entire series because of that, and went ahead with releasing the 3.

Actually Netflix did shot the Raju episode as well but Raju filed a case against it and the case is still in court. Netflix somehow got the series to release after dropping the Raju episode. Will wait for the Raju episode though since I have heard some inside stories about the same.

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

It's been a while since I binge watched a series, but Mirzapur 2 is that good.

Brilliantly done, with top notch acting by all actors specially Munna Tripathi. The only one who could do only 90% justice to his character was Guddu Pandit. Ali Faizal did well, but could have done better.

And I love such endings. Logical closure with enough scope for S3. Please take care not to miss the post-credit scene at the end of episode 10 (after the casting.)

Hansal Mehta is a genius director, and absolutely killed it.
Superb show. The lead actor and all the supporting actors from yesteryears have done a tremendous job! Towards the end, you start feeling sorry for Harshad, although he is in the wrong!
Recreating the old Bombay scenes in this day and age with old buildings, old cars, fashion sense, devices is not easy. The directors have executed it flawlessly!
I watched it over 2 days and was hooked till the end.

Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story : Max 3/5

Dramatised storification of a scam. He wasn't a genius, just a liar. It was a con-job, not some fascinating scientific discovery. It attempts to "humanise" a criminal who conned honest investors. It glorifies a journalist who I admit may have worked on the story but since the extent cannot be verified correctly, it could be rather disproportionate.

Anyway, I'm not for the theme of movies/stories which humanise scamsters & criminals who knew very well that they were causing grievous harm to the public.

In certain professions lying is a must. How much you hone that into an art ensures your survival. Data sheets are same for everyone. Have you met an honest broker (who is successful) in your life?

The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Teheran on Apple TV+, this is a new series and so we have one new episode every Friday. So far there are about 7 episodes and I must say its a decent spy thriller. If Fauda had the plot to be based out of Palestine, Teheran like the name suggests, is about the Mossad on a mission in Iran. I wouldnt say this is in the same league as Fauda, but not bad at all.

Mirzapur Season 2.

Done with first 3 episodes of the season 2 and it has kept me hooked so far. Munna Bhaiyya and Kaleen bhaiyya are the show stealers for now.

It so far looks like a fitting sequel to the first season unlike Sacred Games season 2 that I could not get beyond a few initial episodes. Only issue is that at times the usage of profanities feel a bit forced.

I would rate it a must watch so far, if you liked season 1.

Finished watching Mirzapur 2. Would rate it 3.5/5. Starting was good but it became slow as things progressed. Season 1 was far better. Looking forward to season 3 now.

Watched 'Mirzapur' Season 2 on Amazon Prime. The series is as good as Season 1. Good plot development as before with stronger female characters this time. Good performances by the entire cast.
