You know, we loved Criminal Justice Season 2. So thought, let's go back and watch Season 1.
Damn good. The first two episodes are nice, but it really picks up afterward. Extremely interesting if you like crime dramas. As always, my family watched it because of Tripathi (primarily). We are BIG fans.

Thanks! Started S01 tonight and 3 episodes through. Looks very intriguing! Loved the acting of
Bablu, his sister (the hotel receptionist) and goes without saying, Pankaj Tripathi. Man, the guy can act so damn naturally!
I saw Criminal Justice S01 a few days back. While quite intriguing on the whole, I feel the Jackie Shroff track was a bit stretched. The overall series could have been shortened by an episode or two.
Ended up watching a couple of episodes of Tandav. Nothing special about it. If you have a couple of hours to waste, watch it otherwise it is not worth the time.
P. S. The series also joins the current crop of series where one sided stories are picked from our daily lives and tries to paint a picture in favor of one side.
Watched “Retribution” on Netflix. It’s a series based in Scotland with some familiar faces from the British TV scene. It’s quite interesting but somehow seems to lose its way towards the end: it’s only four episodes long and it seems as if the producers were asked to finish it in a hurry while they were actually angling for much more. But still worth a watch: 6/10.

I'd encourage everyone to watch
The Night Of, the original on which Season 1 of Criminal Justice is based. Terrific acting.
Also, Season 2 is very generously inspired from another web series. You'll know which when you've completed Season 2. :D

I am assuming you meant "His Dark Materials". Watched Season 1 with kids. They loved it but not as much as Harry Potter movies. They still want to watch Season 2.

True. Watched 6 episodes, got bored and abandoned. Nothing great about the story as such. Did not waste time though - was shelling the peas while watching :D
Tandav: 1.5 / 5 *
Horrendous. Was taken in by the brilliant cast but I should have known that coming from Ali Abbas Zafar his caliber is limited to mediocre mass produced crap like Gunday, Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai and Bharat. Terrible screenplay, plot dialogues, editing and direction. It’s a pity such a talented star cast has to be associated with such an incompetent creative team.
First post, HT and Indian express seem to have apt reviews.

Will agree with Axe77. If you have time on hands and nothing else left to watch, then it makes a weak case, else, you may pass it on.
Story is just too filmy.

LUPIN Season 1 - Netflix
The trailer to this one looked interesting, which made us decide to watch this French series dubbed into English. The plot follows the life of a clever thief, who is a master of disguises. Some cinematic liberty aside, it does do enough to keep you interested. Worth a watch. Attachment 2106366 |
I enjoyed this tremendously! Decent plot, very simple settings, great acting and music. Highly recommended

Finished it yesterday. A good watch but could have been shortened by an episode or so. The 3rd and 4th episodes dragged a bit.
Great acting by both leads. :thumbs up
Finished watching season 1 of "C B Strike" detective series on Hotstar yesterday. Worth a watch. Loved the Robin role played by Holliday Grainger. Remembered her from the 'Finest Hours' movie.
Finished watching "4 Blocks" on Prime.
This is a 3 season German gangster series involving Lebanese crime family. Kida Khodr Ramadan has played an excellent lead role. Good acting by other actors too.
