Terrific series. I had watched the S1 & S2 last year and was waiting for S3. Initially planned to wait till all the episodes are out, but couldn't resist at all.
How’s season 3 holding up so far? For me, season 1 was brilliant; but I found S2 quite a drag as compared to S1 (but the ending to one of the female characters was pretty interesting). Am staying away from S3 till all episodes are out; but would appreciate feedback on the same.

Disclaimer, on Apple TV+.

A drama/thriller that is set in two time periods, present day and several years earlier when the protagonist is part of something that causes the present day events.

Engaging enough.

3.5/5

It's quite good & I liked it. Bit of more dialogues than S1. I feel 'hold your breath' kind of scenes are less.

Alex Rider - 4.5/5

Randomly happened to come across this series on Prime. I binged-watched 2 seasons in 4 days. It was fresh, smart and well-directed. The plot itself wasn't something particularly groundbreaking but its exquisite timing on editing made every episode like a roller coaster that surprised you and kept you on the edge of your seat.

For spy lovers out there - this is something you can really get your teeth into.

Any recommendation for similar series's ? PS:Must be completed. Can't wait for new episodes
Hi, I've found very few good horror series on streaming. There is of course the highly popular and long running 'American Horror Story' series but tbh, couldn't stand it. It was too 'American pulp' gore/occult type of horror which doesn't work for me. I prefer something more psychological.

I gave Grotesquerie a shot - it's from Ryan Murphy and the 'American Horror Story' world and it had a wonderful first ep and then just crashed and burned. Gave up mid way.

If you've not seen them, the Mike Flanagan shows are pretty good. The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor. The Fall of the House of Usher was quite bad though. And Midnight Mass is a tour de force if you look at it philosophically not as a horror show per se.

'Archive 81' on Netflix. It's beyond brilliant and so good Netflix canceled it after 1 season! Such a shame.

Shyamalan's 'Servant' on Apple TV is quite good for the first season.

'The Terror' Season 1 on Prime.

There is a very strange show called 'The Outsider' based on the Stephen King novel. Great cast and a very out there story. Can try and sample it. I think it's on Jio.

Seconded.
This has excellent production values. Deviates a bit from the books and Some stuff can be ignored for the story telling but the way they handle all the spy stuff is quite hand. Shame it won't get any more seasons as the cast has aged. Still a good ending to a very good show.

What an absolute riveting find recommended by a friend. This is a hilarious action comedy set in the beautiful and sunny Florida. The settings reminded me of one of my favorite series (Dexter) which incidentally was also set in same state.

.
Starting watching Dexter as per your recommendation. Love it, thanks

End of season 4 was unreal.

Love the way they add sub plots and all the complicated inter-workings between them.

Marcella - Netflix - 3/5

Watching season 1 of Marcella right now and finished episode 6. Very tight script and great editing. Set in UK and an British serial at heart like Line of Duty, this one has minimal action, lots of conversation, multiple sub plots and intrigue all woven together. My only challenge seems to be that the protagonist is allowed to be part of a detective force. Keeping out the story and plot season 1 is worth a watch

To answer your question, if I remember correctly, it's really good till season 7 with decent pacing..
You seem to be a Walking Dead super fan.

Thanks for the detailed feedback. I still watch at least 1 episode a day as I am rudely asked to change it as folks at home don't like the constant zombie hissing and growling.

Heck, what a series. I'm still in Season 6 and enjoying the twist and turns and new characters that keep popping in and out. Well, after giving it a thought I think Daryl has more character than Rick but, the leadership skills of Rick is pretty evident every time he opens his mouth or comes on screen. It's a tough roll of dice between them who I like more.

What amazes me is the sheer number of zombies that was shown in this series.

I got some serious questions in my mind..

Where did they get so many people, How many kilos of make up was used, what each zombie could have been paid, amount of time spent on making them up. etc. etc.

Some nights I spent thinking about these questions and sheer production planning it must have taken them to go to those lengths for a non feature film.

Thanks for all those recommendations. I need to slip in some sane stuff in between or I will be kicked out of the house but, looks like I got enough zombie content for more than a year worth of OTT screening.

I would like to change my rating to 5/5 for one of the best zombie series ever made.

Cheers !!

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Is anyone able to watch Mike Tyson fight in Netflix. It keeps buffering. I checked internet speed, netflix troubleshooting steps also says internet speed is fast. I am able to play everything else except the fight. I guess Netflix botched it

Watching from the beginning ( 3+ hours)

Streaming is smoother than Amul Butter.

I can see the beginning part now but the moment I switch to live it gets stuck. I can play everything else in netflix except this. Is the network speed of 90mbps not enough? My tv is the only device using the wifi now
