All seasons of the Fargo series have independent plots, and they are as distinct from each other as they are from the movie.
Only common theme is that the backdrop for the movies/series till date had been in and around the states of Minneapolis & North Dakota.

Anybody watching "Rick and Morty" here? 3 seasons and still rated 100% in Rotten tomatoes. Frankly wanted to see how it has been rated like this.

I am now halfway through the first season. Found it similar to South Park. High levels of Satire at many aspects of our society.

re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Just finished watching all 3 seasons of "Murder in the First" on Amazon Prime. Season 1 was the best, followed by S2. S3 managed to hold interest but not much in terms of a whodunit.

Any other suggestions for Amazon Prime?

I finished watching Black Mirror recently. It's a Sci-fi series which depicts the role of technology (or future technology) in manipulating our mind.

It was exciting and gets your heart rate up, except for the odd 'bland' episode.

FAIR WARNING: It's not for everybody though.

I too watched Black Mirror recently and loved it. What I liked purticularly was that on most episodes the characters are everyday men/women. Rather than muddling things up by going into the scientific side of things, the makers are looking only at the social impact of a single technology per episode.

Yes, as you said it will probably be not everyone's cup of tea.

+1.
It was just epic. I'm not able to watch anything now as noting is as mentally stimulating.

Can you suggest any other similar show?

I am close to finishing Riverdale season 1 (is there a season 2?)
I like how the characters have been transported from the comic books into a real life scenario. Specially Jughead's character! It has taken probably the most tangential path and yet it makes sense.

The person who introduced me to Black Mirror has two recommendations for me:
1. Dead set
2. Inside No.9

I am yet to watch either, but they sound promising to me. Dead set and Black Mirror are in fact created by the same person.

So, I finally finished HOUSE.
Yes, I had seen the series long time back but never saw final 2 episodes. Loved it so much just couldn't bring myself to see it ending.
I must say the finale was absolutely brilliant and very perspective to who House is as a person. Everybody lies after all.

Also, the 23rd episode which is a making of house is really good. Gives a great insight how much hard work everyone has put into making even one episode.

I think HOUSE is the best character ever written on Tv. Even better than Walter White. Probably, because he was so eccentric and unpredictable.

Totally; not even an oblique reference to S 1/2.

That said, as I've mentioned on this thread before, S3 is way behind the earlier two seasons.

To be honest, I watched the season only because of the Fargo legacy.

Hugh Laurie has pulled a massive rabbit as House. What a performance!

Spent most of my college years watching it.

From what I read, the producers had ten teams of writers+doctors and the best script made one episode.

We've completed watching Fargo S1 and S2 on Netflix, and quite loved it! S1 is way better than S2, but S2 was different in its own sorta way. It was interesting how they brought about a link between S1 and S2.

Started watching The Girlfriend Experience on Amazon Prime. It is a story of a lawyer who starts moonlighting as a high-society escort to pay her law school bills. Interesting without being riveting.

Currently on tape 6 of 13 Reasons Why.

Quite an overwhelming take on the nasty side of being in high school: the bullying, objectification and sprouting of hormones and what follows.

Now waiting for the new season of Suits.
