Wow, exactly same thing happened at my home. Wife started watching and I watch along. Into season 5 now.

The walking Dead - oh that bad Negan making all the news while smashing people's head with that bob wired baseball bat.

The other I like is 'Lost'. Pretty gripping with some great characters and direction. AGT and BGT are the other two favs apart from Bhabiji Ghar Pe Hai.

Currently watching Ray Donovan on Amazon Prime. Quite intriguing and one gets hooked to the story instantly. Crime drama involving a family with mix of emotions.

Fauda:
Is a good watch, created in the backdrop of the Israel - Palestine conflict.
Arabic series - so English subtitles are a must

Westworld : 10/10

Spectacular, magnificent, splendid, dazzling, sensational, dramatic, remarkable, outstanding, memorable, unforgettable...not enough adjectives, to be honest.

As far as concepts go, Jonah Nolan hits it out of the park, again! It's a lot more serious than Person of Interest. But what a brilliant way to tell a story! Sir Hopkins is marvelous as usual, as are the rest of the characters. Can't wait for Season 2!

I started watching Hotel Beau Sejoure on Netflix yesterday. 10 minutes into the episode I sensed something wrong. Then I realized that I was watching a dubbed version! Switched back to original Flemish soundtrack and things got a lot better!

Completed all 4 seasons of The Killing. I have to say, this was one of the best murder/suspense dramas I have seen of late. What made it stand out was the acting by the lead roles. The whole series is so realistic that you can't help but connect with the story and the characters.
Few trivia:
1. It is created by Veena Sud, a Canadian born American T writer with Indian origins
2. It is based on Danish series Forbrydelsen
3. There are only 4 seasons.
4. I am glad I was not following this when it aired. Can't reveal why without spoilers.

Just finished watching Narcos Season 3. It is as good as it can get. The story completes in this season, unlike in case of the Pablo Escobar which stretched for 2 seasons.
And yes, they have given out hint on the next one coming too.

My rating: 4.5/5

Just finished watching and I must say its one of the best 3rd Season of a Sitcom I have watched. Did not expect this to be so tight and pacy. Great job by the writers, directors & actors! Hope season 4 gets better!

I guess since it aired way back in 2011, it should be ok to talk about it a little bit.
Imagine you were watching it way back in 2011, waiting every week for the next episode. And finally, waiting for the season finale to find out whodunnit. Only to find out in the finale that you will have to wait for the next season!

The series caught a lot of flack for pulling that stunt!

Oh that way yes. Even before Netflix I used to wait for all movies in a trilogy to come out & then binge watch them(Lords of the rings was one such). Now Netflix has only made this easier. Hopefully in next few years we would be able to do this for most good series or atleast that's the hope.

re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Amidst all the candy-coated, rose-tinted, heart-warming stories that are passing off as comedies from the land of Murica, a giant is about to awaken and stomp on everything in sight.. leaving its fans rolling in tears of laughter.

From the makers of Seinfeld comes, Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 9 next month (though I cannot curb it at all).

Larry David the social assassin, the misanthrope and the Jewish messiah of manners is gonna re-write the rules of society yet again after picking on "pig-parkers" (people who park over the line), sample-abusers (people who sample too many spoons of ice-creams in stores) and chat-&-cutters (people who cut a queue by chatting with someone familiar up the line).

Any Shooter watchers here ? It is one of my favourite Netflix shows. It has a similar concept to the movie and is really gripping.

This series is released as one episode a week and the wait between episodes is quite painful !!

re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

And who are you, the proud lord said,
that I must bow so low?
Only a cat of a different coat,
that's all the truth I know.
In a coat of gold or a coat of red,
a lion still has claws,
And mine are long and sharp, my lord,
as long and sharp as yours.

And so he spoke, and so he spoke,
that Lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall,
with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear

Yes, binge-ing all 7 seasons now. Truly immersed in it.
