re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Started watching Blacklist. Kind of stuff that I like to watch. But looking at the pattern, I sense it will start to become monotonous after some time.

Gets repetitive after a while. My wife stopped midway in season 5. I've been skipping and watching depending on the synopsis. Now that they've been renewed for season 7, I don't think they'd give a closure this season either

Finally somebody said it. Sacred Games was ok but nowhere near the hype it garnered.

Mirzapur on the other hand was just superb. Mirzapur and Ghoul are one of the best Indian mini-series available right now. I wish Ghoul was longer though, both me and my wife enjoyed it immensely, and that ending!

I've only started watching Netflix over the last few months but just can't stand long series that just go on and on and on. Probably the only exception is Narcos which is not a mini-series yet so captivating that you just can't stop watching it.

I think there should be a separate section on mini-series so that one can watch it knowing its limited, unlike most of the unlimited crap out there on Netflix.

Criminal Justice (Hindi) is good, but it is nowhere in the league of Mirzapur.
Acting by all the lead actors is superb, but somehow I feel the storyline got stretched to reach the penultimate episode, and it ended all too quickly in the last episode.
3.5/5 from me.

Haven't watched Ghoul yet but have heard good things about it. It is on my watch list for some time now, need to get down to it!

I have started using Netflix only this month (when the 3 month free subscription for Airtel users was announced), and I am re-watching Narcos once again. Absolutely fantastic pace and the action is unrelenting. Narcos 2 on the other hand was not that great, at least the first couple of episodes (haven't watched beyond that)- nowhere close to Narcos 1.

As for Sacred Games, my wife had the same view when she watched it after Mirzapur. The former is too slow and the storyline is nothing to write home about. Its just about an OK watch.

I am watching ZNation and found it better than Black Summer. Ironically, started off with Black Summer and moved to ZNation!

To be seen at night only, when kids are asleep

+1, Loved the show. Reminded me of the early seasons of the walking dead. I gave up on The Walking Dead as it became very stupid in the last season.

I love zombie shows. Use headphones and its great for watching late into the night.
Will check out Z-Nation as it is on my list for a long time.

Watched two episodes of znation. Looked stupid to me. At one point zombies are running to kill, and then they are ok when everyone around them are walking past them.

Umm, Z-nation is defined as a Comedy Zombie series on IMDB. Not my cuppa.

I started watching Z Nation.
It catches steam only by Episode 4.

The first few episodes are not great. But then Murphy gets a makeover and the show gets a fresh lease of life.

Am almost at the end of season one and my suggestion is to not let the slowness of the first few episodes tire you out.

Ya, the way episode 2 ended I am expecting this one to be Epic.
By the way most people didn't like the first 2 episodes considering the slow pacing but I liked them.

Also, for martial arts fans there is a new Series called Warrior. Do check it out as fight scenes are really well done.
