Yup, the old one.

But you need to be old enough to have experienced such shows on Doordarshan in your childhood. Else you won't like it at all.

I remember enjoying Sriman Shrimati a lot, although anyone who sees it now will not appreciate it at all.

Thank you for this news. It costs ₹99 per month so despite being an Apple offering that costs $4.99 pm in the US, they have kept the cost down here.
It is being offered on the apps window via the Firestick.
Tried via google store on my Sony TV but wasn’t available. News articles say it will take time for the roll out to other TVs.

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Apple TV has some new shows, ie Apple Original. They seem to be getting the latest English movies but it is on rental basis. i am still trying to figure out the rental cost as the app does not allow in house purchases. One needs to do it from an apple device.
At 99rs per month for the shows on ATV+ i think it is a good deal.

Basically Apple has launched an app
For now supported devices can be found on their website

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

After enjoying 2 seasons of The Young Sheldon on Amazon Prime. I have finally started watching The Big Bang Theory. Yes, I know, incorrect sequence.

I am already on 5th season.

I also finished all the seasons of Brooklyn Nine Nine. Superfun it was. Never binge watched anything that hard. Relatively small episodes surely helped the case.

Next in line for watching is Jack Ryan S2 on prime. Enjoyed the 1 season, really looking forward to watch the 2nd season.

The annoying thing is that Jack Ryan is being released only one episode at a time. . I'll wait till the whole lot is out then binge watch. Season one was fantastic, have high expectations on season two.

No its not!
I binge-watched the entire Season 2, the moment it was available.

Edit: An episode a week happened with "The Terror" season 2, though!

Is the Apple tv+ censored in India with no smoking warnings, beeping expletives and such? I read on reddit about it. If true then apple isn't getting my money.

Yes, there is some amount of censoring. It's actually funny; the F word is beeped out when it is referring to the act, but not when it is intended as an emotion. The smoking warning is only at the beginning, unlike Indian movies where it appears every time someone lights one up.

That's the case with Young Sheldon Season 3 actually. Pretty annoying to wait for a new episode every week.

Last week due to multiple holidays clubbed with WFHs binge watched a few shows on Prime.

Jack Ryan - Season 1 Kept me glued till the end. Good watch. Now on Season 2 Episode 4. High hopes.

The Last Ship - Binge watched all the seasons(5 till now). Pretty good watch, however at times kinda bollywood-ish . But the movie-like sequences are great to watch.

Family Man: Almost a desi-Jack Ryan. Pretty nicely done although the final episode was kinda open-ended. In a way that's good as I would be looking out for season-2

Tell me about it. I think even Silicon Valley Season 6 is being streamed one show at a time on Hotstar (unless they have released all the others now). Very irritating to say the least.

Family Man was decent, but in my view nowhere close to the action and thrill of Jack Ryan. Season 1 of Jack Ryan was pretty awesome while I thought Family Man was just about OKish, purely on the talent of Manoj Bajpayee.
